Palying my computer DVDs on my TV
Hi,
I have a laptop with an SVHS output. I would like to use it to play DVDs on the TV. It plays them fine on the laptop screen but the TV would be better as the viewining angle would be wider. Can I connect the SVHS to the TV SCART ? Kevin |

As far as I know S-VHS is Super VHS a standard of video records. I think the output you are referring to is S-Video a video signal standard.
This is a small round socket with about half-dozen small pins, if this is the case you can purchase a S-Video to Scart lead from most electrical outlets. Please remember that S-Video is a video only format and does not contain any audio, you'll need to connect the audio terminals on either the MPEG decorder card or your sound card to the lead as well, this may require some additional adapters etc. |

Also make sure your tv is S-Video capable, if it is then you can buy a S-Video to scart lead from maplin for about 8quid. If your tv is not S-Video capable and you connect laptop to it using S-Video you will normally see a black & white picture
