Samsung have confirmed that the Note 4 will be out in the UK on October 10th but can be preordered from tomorrow. Will be interesting to see when tariffs will be released, hopefully won't be too long now.

I have read that it will be limited release, I think Clove to try and source from 'out of area'.

I find this really odd from Samsung, probably the most innovative device for a long time, showing what can actually be achieved. I see no reason why they wouldn't make this a general relaese phone.

I did hear about that last week, it is a shame that it is being delayed by a week but these things cannot be helped. What is annoying is that Vodafone seem more interested in pushing the Alpha & the iPhone with hardly any official wording on when they will be supplying the Note 4. Thankfully CPW are doing it at a reasonable price of £48.50 per month which includes unlimited minutes & texts, as well as 24 months of Spotify and 7gb Data. Also the Note 4 is only a few pounds more than the S5 per month, so may as well get the better handset out of the both.

It's a fab stylus - do you know if it's compatible with, say, a Sony mobile? Or is the Samsung screen a special one?

The Note has a Wacom stylus, it wouldn't work on a standard capacitive screen.

Most who have pre-ordered should get the phone for 17th, but those who haven't will have to wait another week or two if they wish to buy sim-free or from 3rd party sellers.

Got my Note 4 a little while ago and am now setting it up, it does seem a little strange using a phone this size after using an S3 for a couple of years, but really loving it so far. Must order a case for it

My partner got hers last Friday and she is dead chuffed, so much lighter than her old Note 1 and display even better. I got her old phone note 1 put kitkat on (Cyanogen), rooted phone, unlocked it for free rather than pay orange £20 notes and changed to Sainsburys for calls. Not really bothered about data on go. But as phone was going begging I grabbed it.

Give when she had note, full of data. it was slow. Now I updated it seems to fly even with a fair few apps on it now. Still I like the note 1 and 4

Samsung Galaxy Note Edge launch delayed until December 12th in the UK

Quote:
“We knew something was up when the original pre-order date of November 14th rolled around and the curved curiosity was a no-show. A Samsung spokesperson has now confirmed to us that it's facing a two-week delay, meaning the retail release has been pushed back from November 28th to December 12th. The pre-order window has also been shortened to a week, so you won't be available to reserve it from either Samsung's site or Carphone Warehouse until December 5th.”

Stock is expected to be very limited this quarter with Samsung looking to sell in only 1 million units of the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge.

Compare this to 18 million units of the Galaxy S5 in it's first quarter on sale and an expected 11 million units due to be shipped this quarter for the Galaxy Note 4.

Manufacturing processes is the main issue here and that's why only just over 1 million units are being sold in to a very limited number of countries in 2014. Wider availability should be seen in early 2015.

Vodafone have secured an exclusive launch period for the Galaxy Note Edge in both black and White colour schemes but the phone is also available from the CPW group on their own Vodafone contract deals.

This launch period is due to expire at the end of January meaning other operators and retailers will be able to offer the phone and prices will drop significantly.
