Does anyone have any recommendations for energy efficient televisions? I'm looking to replace at 26" tele, I found a list online of tellys that are supposed to be more efficient but on further research not one of them was still on sale! Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Anything LED or OLED basically.

Exact consumption will differ model to model.

However, many 42" tv's are now below 100W and I recently saw a 4K 65" tv with 80W consumption!!! (Albeit that rose to 150W ish with the add on receiver unit).

I thought consumption would be considerably below that? - I'll try and check tomorrow

Thank you both. That's reassuring because it means that there will be lots of options as there are loads of LED ones out there from what I can see.

Slightly outside your size remit, but I just saw a 65" Samsung 4K curved tv in Currys with an 80W consumption!!!

That's 1/3rd the consumption of my 42" plasma!!!

The John Lewis website shows the power consumption of the TVs they sell.

My 40" Samsung H5000 is listed at 45W........ and that's with standard settings. If you set different picture modes like 'movie' or turn the backlight down the energy consumption reduces even further.
Many of these latest LED TV's are incredibly energy efficient these days, but you have to check the energy rating as they vary. The energy rating is listed on all of them now along with the specs.

To put it in context these figures are comparable to a single old fashioned light bulb.
