I may be wrong but I highly doubt it, most TV's are slim VESA compliant wall mountable these days, not like the days of the CRT & VCR combo 14" portables
And even though some DVD/TV combos are available, these are usually cheap 'tat'.
I would highly suggest purchasing separate, unless that is not an option.

I bought the 32 inch Sony KDL-32EX43BU from Amazon with Freeview HD and blu-ray player for a friend in Oct 2011 for £499 plus p&p £30, but I very much doubt that you'll find it new now. There may be some secondhand ones about though.

I waited months before it was relisted on Amazon, and as soon as it came in stock I bought one, because they were selling like hot cakes on another site for over £650. It was originally about £720 when Sony released it in late 2010/early 2011 I think. The Freeview HD picture quality is fantastic and so's the blu-ray picture.

The 32 inch isn't listed on Amazon any more but here's the 40 inch version (although likewise unavailable): http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-KDL40EX...pr_product_top

You won't get a TV/Blu-ray recorder combo though.

Here you go, I've found this Full HD & 3D Cello 42 inch TV/blu-ray combo with Freeview HD at Amazon for £645, only 2 left: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Cello-C42116...16-LED3DIPTVT2

There have been a few, but generally it's a BAD idea to have either DVD, BD (or indeed VCR) built-in your TV - 'all your eggs in one basket'.

Bad idea - always get separate units. Then you can replace just one bit when they "go", or upgrade each bit separately, or move the individual bits between different rooms. These are far better advantages than just saving a couple of cables, or having a slightly sleeker look.

If you can stretch to it I'm sure B&O make TVs with inbuilt BD player. Though they don't shout about it.

I don't understand the negativity toward an all in one solution.

Anything can break or fail

Any links to the B&O TV?

Because it's a BAD idea

In the vast majority of cases the DVD/BD/VCR will fail before the TV - and generally it's VERY, VERY expensive to replace - assuming it's even available.

Buying a separate DVD/BD/VCR is cheap to replace, and probably capable of repair (in-built ones are just a module replacement, with no spares available).

Assuming you've got no room for a separate one?, then you have a rare special case - so go for a built-in - as you've got no option then price and reliability isn't an issue.

The point is that an all in one seriously limits your options if you stick to like for like replacements.

If the player fails but the TV works perfectly then you have to chuck out a perfectly good TV just to replace the DVD/Blu-Ray player.

And what if some new format comes along that your current kit can't support? Again you have to chuck the whole lot away.

With separates if the disk player goes belly skywards you just replace that bit or send it off for repair. But you can still use the telly while this is happening. If you want to upgrade then just upgrade the bits that need it. Both options are likely to work out cheaper than replacing one all in one unit for another.

The TV/blu-ray combo I bought was for an older person with alzheimers who was struggling to use 2 remote controls and also has a tiny flat in sheltered housing with no room for a TV and a separate player.

Maybe some of you don't realise that when you get older, with impaired mobility and faculties, the things that seemed simple when you were young, now become challenging and sometimes impossible. I don't know why you just can't answer the OP rather than be dismissive and critical, even though I note my hour long search to find a combo hasn't impressed the OP.

By the way B&O don't make a TV/blu-ray combo: http://www.avsforum.com/forum/114-hd...l#post12749834

i wonder if they are the same in person as online
i hazard a guess they are
the whole of digital spy is full of 'know-it-all' rude people who assert their "expert" knowledge when people really want help and opinion

You had good advice and chose to ignore it. I cannot believe you cannot find a separate Blu-ray player that will fit. Sony do some really compact ones. They do not have to be really close to the TV..

Blu-ray players have mechanical mechanisms with moving parts, it's pretty inevitable it will fail long before the all solid state TV does.

The same applies to all in one devices with DVD and VCR players the mechanical players will fail almost always fail prematurely.

It's no surprise that any of the quality makers will have no truck with these devices.

And some people just don't like it when people disagree with what you want to by...

You asked some questions and got some answers - it's up to you what you dowith it now.

Then that is a good reason to get an all-in-one as there is a good reason for it. Otherwise why bother?

I would not necessarily say it is a bad idea, more a risky investment.
Especially when you factor in 'planned obsolescence' which is well known in the electronics industry.

You only have to look at the mobile phone market to see the overwhelming evidence of planned obsolescence..anyone else getting excited for the iPhone 12
