Yeah, but it gives her then chance to talk in that pathetic little girly voice that she seems to have the habit of adopting when she speaks to that poor child.

Not in EastEnders, where convicted armed robbers are allowed to run pubs.

But she's a qualified stall holder, launderette worker, pub barmaid, hairdresser cafe waitress and car lot sales person. After all, let's face it, they are her only choices.

Have you not been following?

Her conviction has been overturned. She won her appeal. Nothing on record.

Has she got a criminal conviction though? Did you appeal against her sentence or her conviction?

Ok I'm glad Stacey said in the end that nobody wants to hire an ex jailbird 👏

Well there would be nothing on her record because she didn't get charged for it . She did acknowledge being an ex jail bird though .

I don't recall Stacey being a hairdresser, I only remember her selling clothes on the market, or did she learn to be a hairdresser during her time away.

She got turned down a whole 2 times and gave up even though both people said they would contact her if anything came up.

Things are so unfair on poor stace.

When she returned, she was a hairdresser named Jenny in London.

yep, in the classic eastenders style she will only ask for jobs within the square, will not give a cv or attend interviews - just rock up and ask for a job claiming she will 'work really hard' and will be a manager within a month.

Wish I'd only failed to get 2 jobs ever... They could have at least spun it out for a few episodes and had her circling stuff in the newspaper etc.

Since when did having a criminal record stop a soap character getting a job?!

I think they're referring to Phil when Den set him up.

I can't remember the exact details but I'm sure that conviction was also implausibly overturned due to a dodgy witness despite the fact the police caught him red handed

She was so sure Dean would give her a job and was indignant when he didn't, even though there wasn't a job to offer.

I applaud Mick and Deano for not giving into pressure by giving Stacey the skank a job respect to both.

No law in the land would allow and approve her lame appeal. From 5 year jail sentence to walking out Scott free words fail me the writing team must be high on drugs.

The thing is, she's going to work really hard. She promised. No way will she be found wandering round the square during working hours, or being in the pub. No, she'll be grafting. Really hard. We'll have to start calling the Stacey The Grafter. In fact to be wholly accurate, we should call her Stacey The Exemplary Mother Who Didn't Murder Anyone Who Grafts All Day Long To Support Her Daughter. Or maybe just Stacey for short.

Who on earth would employ Stacey as a hairdresser after seeing the state of her kids hair? It looks like it hasn't seen a comb for weeks-I wouldn't let her loose on my barnett thats for sure

That's what I was wondering. If she has used her bi-polar as mitigating circumstances to get her sentence reduced then she will have a criminal record. If however it was to get the verdict overturned she will not have a conviction on record.

But, anyhow, she is a Slater and Archie was a horrible man so everybody should just ignore her conviction and welcome her with open arms!

Still, I do at least give her crddit for approaching lots of different businesses and being willing to take any job. Within a 50 Metre radius of course...

It's one on those annoying soap conventions that we just have to live with. Like when two characters talk loudly about another character or a huge secret about two foot away from the person, and they don't hear a thing.

As her conviction was overturned she has no criminal record.
