Alfie the racist
I'm afraid we just can't condone this out and out racist.
This isn't your country. Go home. The death knell has sounded for Alfred Moon, I feel. |

Stop over reacting. Alfie isn't racist because both he and Aleks are both white and European - the same race! He is though, human and prejudiced, just like the rest of us.

Time for Alfie to leave. He's a useless character and terrible actor.
Nobody in the real world would be able to just leave their job as much as he does and expect to still have one. |

Well, I'm afraid that Alfie was saying what many British people think who find themselves isolated in a largely foreign area that used to be British. You can't stop people reacting like people when provoked. Aleks provoked him. I'm fed up with do gooders who find everything offensive. EE has for once portrayed a realistic scenario.

Alfies character has long been past it's heyday, he's now just irritating and has no place in the show, perhaps he can be bumped off next. The character Alfie is a looser and deserved to lose his pitch. Aleks told him the truth and Alfie like a typical British looser lashed out.

However, his comments were actually zemophobic and that attitude "this is my country, you don't belong here, your kind is ruing so go back to where you came from" is pretty racist. It is however the attitude that many people in this country do have to Eastern Europeans in particular these days. Hence the rise of parties like UKIP and even more horribly BNP. |

Aleks gave him chances and he blew it, no one to blame but himself and there's no excuse for what he said I'd be ashamed if I saw people behaving like Alfie |

I was so shocked! However I do think it was good of the BBC to cover that people seem to have such feeling as Alfies, whether their feelings are right or wrong.

But Alfie is a complete div, he feckless, Aleks was just doing his job and he has no place to accuse anyone of anything, his the new Bianca, so poor actually feel sorry for Shane Richie having to plays this pathetic s/l |

Whilst it was an outdated and xenophobic comment which shouldn't have been said, some people - not me, I hasten to add - do talk like that or at least think that way in society today, so I think it should be explored as it's actually, and unfortunately, a very realistic thing for some people to say. I've heard it said down the pub.
However, I was actually quite shocked to see it come out of Alfie's mouth. It didn't seem very true to his character, but then there has been a long feud between the pair and a nasty row has been brewing for months. |

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad Eastenders has addressed a contemporary issue like this but I was so shocked to hear him being so unpleasant
