Wow, you're so right - she really did deserve the boos! CACKLING? I can't believe they didn't eject her immediately
![]() Trash talking? Bitching? Having bad game play? So these reasons deserve boos? Why has everyone else in the history of the show got away with it, then? ![]() What's your interpretation of trash talking? From what I've seen of Christine/read on the updates, it's always game related. "X is so disgusting! I hate X so much!" - such things are just standard Big Brother game play. It's a way of saying "X is my target" without actually saying it. It's one of my pet peeves of this game - the way they dance around things and disguise things by continually 'trash talking' instead of just saying what they actually mean, but whatever - they all do it. Christine is not the first to do it and certainly won't be the last. As for her targeting Donny? So now the houseguests can never target/trash talk the favourite(s) any more? Wow, it really is becoming BBUK. Bitching - they all do it, I won't even entertain that excuse. Having bad game play? I agree that her game was awful, but that doesn't mean she deserves to be booed for it. Nobody else has in the history of the show. As for the Cody situation - it's none of our business. Her husband admitted on the show during that family segment that they agreed that she could flirt/do what she had to do. Moments later, he went onto say that she had disrespected him. Clearly, it was a miscommunication. Christine even said in the DR during Zingbot week that she was "doing what she had to do to win" - almost the exact same words Tim used when he said he had had that talk with her. Either way, it's their business. There was a screenshot of her touching Derrick's leg going around yesterday afternoon, so clearly that's part of her game/who she is rather than her touchy-feely stuff being exclusive to Cody. Unlike, for example, Jon and Neda... where were their boos? To be honest, these two posts prove that she didn't deserve the boos at all. Don't get me wrong, I'm no Christine fan, I just dislike the direction this show is heading. I thought the booing last series would be a one off with all the racism/personal stuff (Aaryn and Amanda deserved it), but now it's been carried through to this series and someone who's simply played the game has been booed, it doesn't look good for the future of the show... |

I don't think Derrick, Caleb, or Victoria would get significant boos. They've certainly been responsible for it being a dull season, but they have been less awful. Caleb crossed some lines, but it's more pathetic than spiteful, and it's been several weeks without Amber there so that's not forefront in people's minds anymore. Frankie would get boo'd worse than Christine, assuming CBS allows it. It's hard to guess with Cody, though I can't imagine that audience would actually be applauding for him if they weren't coerced into it. Quote:
There is no way CBS will give their pet a bad edit. They love him. I wouldn't be surprised if they told the audience not to boo when he leaves.

@Anachrony
Agree. Frankie deserves the most boo's for his behaviour. Then Cody also deserves boo's cause it is unfair to just target Christine over the flirt thing. His game has been dirty. He has just followed Derrick's lead and backstabbed his own friends. |

I dislike Cody mostly because he's so cowardly and hypocritical. He talks about making moves, thinks he's played a good game, criticizes others in his alliance for not doing enough, but ultimately just does whatever Derrick tells him to do. The whole cuddling controversy barely even factors into the many reasons to dislike Christine and Cody.

I completely disagree. She was just a horrible woman and a bad gameplayer. We have had to put up with this vile alliance for 10 weeks and even the viewing TV audience are sick of it. People going onto this show cannot say these comments about Jocasta being a bitch / Donny being a creep / Zach being homophobic etc and expect to walk out to warm receptions.. I hope all the detonators get this response as they turned this season into one of the worst ever.
Being a bad game player is no excuse for boos. I can pick flaws in every single players game this series, and could do the same for previous series. I don't think it's fair to pin all the blame on Christine for the alliance dominating all series long. After all, she was only HoH once, and has never held any real power to influence the other members on who to put up. She mainly kept her head down and agreed to evict who ever the alliance wanted gone. If Caleb, Cody, Derrick and Frankie all leave to boos, then it'll sit better with me, as it will tell me that the viewers are booing the alliance, rather than the players for their games... but I suspect that won't be the case at all. Edit: Just to be clear, I don't care that Christine left to boos (I do care, but not because she was booed - I just worry what it means for the show). After all, like starry stated, it's just pantomime. However, do the BBUS players/viewers see it as such since the booing is a rare thing on their format? It can't feel good to leave to boos when everyone else gets cheers; at least in the UK, everyone leaves to boos so it's easy to shake off. I fear future players will be playing to please the audience (in the next couple of series at least, since the booing is all rather 'new' in the US), rather than doing what is best for their personal game, which would be awful to watch. I don't want the show heading in that direction, hence my annoyance, and rather lengthy posts, at the boos. |

I totally get what you are saying it is definitely a concern. Although I think this series actually sends the opposite message. The people who will probably be booed are people who have acted badly outside of gameplay and haven't actually done what is best for there personal games. Donny Zach and Nicole who wanted to make big moves got huge cheers. I think this series is different because all the viewers are frustrated by the predictable domineering nonexistent gameplay of the bombonators.
If Christine is the only one, then I worry for future series. If the rest of the alliance does get booed (which I find hard to believe - I think production will tell the audience to cheer Frankie and especially Derrick), then it may actually be a good thing for future series. |

I didn't think of it like that! I guess we'll have to wait and see who else gets booed (if any).

Frankie's a tricky one. To me his preferential treatment was all about wanting to exploit the connection to his famous half-sibling, but she didn't turn up for Thursday's live show for reasons. Her BB Twitter support ceased some weeks back and if it looks unlikely that she'll turn up for the live finale (you know she would have a segment of her own with Julie), the audience might be given the go-ahead once more.
