I use ear-bud headphones on a daily basis but the ones I have one of ears seem to break pretty fast, so does anyone know what the best headphones that will last and not break within months?

Sol Republic headphones have parts that can be interchanged, from the head band to the wires and speakers.

I'm always breaking either the wire or the bit where the headphones join the band. (On other makes of headphones that is).

The few headphones that have lasted a while end up getting too dirty on the ear pads, and then can not be replaced easily.

Like you I have had dozens of these over the years so have long since given up spending large sums. I currently use some logitech ear-buds which have lasted a lot longer than equivalent Philips, JVC and Sony models.

Another common reason for failure is ear wax gumming up the buds. Treat your ears and phones with more care.

Never come across that! It's always the jack connector that goes on mine.

I bought some justop Bluetooth headphones from Amazon for £15.

No more problems with wires, much better.

Koss PRO/4AA. http://www.koss.com/en/products/head...Size_Headphone

They should last over 40 years, mine are nearly there, bit on the heavy side but they may well out-last me!

Good for strengthening the neck muscles. Mine are retired in the cupboard with my Thorens record deck.

I just bought some Skull Candy Ink'd 2.0 on Amazond which got mostly five start reviews.

I've got the same problem. I'm always breaking headphones and my dad's getting miffed as he has to keep paying for them. I've started paying for my own now though.

The OP was asking for headphones that will last. And Skull Candy don't have any such reputation ...

It took me years to trash my old Sennheiser PMX neckband phones. That was years of being shoved into a bag, used out running/rowing/cycling and just generally being abused. And they only died when the cable got snagged on something that tore it (I really cannot understand how it happened) - otherwise they were working perfectly.

I would suggest going with a company like Sennheiser who have a reputation for reliability and sound quality.

My wife swears by the logitec ones.
