I just saw it this morning on the SUN "Newspaper ". They report quote and quote that she has fallen " heads over heels " for him and they've been dating secretly for a few months ..

IS it true ?

Seems it is true! Apparently recent though, but they "had a connection" while doing Strictly. May explain why she was so tearful when voted out ( on which I still think was her best dance! )

Lucky old Pasha! He'll have to watch out for her snake, though.

I TOTALLY called this at the time ~ the look she gave him when she was voted off was, erm, 'intense', and when her marriage breakdown became public I guessed there was something there [http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showt...#post70029507]. There was some specific body language in a training VT (the Halloween one, I think) which gave it away too.

I am ace at this ~ they should hire me as a body language expert on ITT, I susssed Matt & Flavia very early on too (training room VT again). Caught one of my friends out in an affair as well



Wonder if they've decided to go public now because they're afraid the producers were going to try & stir up some tedious 'showmance' storyline with his partner?

I didn't detect any chemistry on the show, but they would both be the kind of people to be very respectful of the situation, so I could understand them waiting and taking their time before starting dating.

If this is the situation, I think they have both handled it well.

I would rate them as opposites, but then there is that saying - opposites attract.

Rachel and pasha started dating shortly after strictly ended last year. I like them both and hope this year strictly does not bring about any changes.

Dancingbear you must have a gift because I never suspected it till she left her husband a month later after the competition. What was the body language?
I rather hoped it wasn't true because I liked Pasha but found Rachel sooooooo annoying!
I feel sorry for her husband and if Pasha were my brother I'd be worried about him dating someone who had their head turned so easily after just a year of marriage.

If you look at the pic of them as they got eliminated - well, if my spouse looked at another woman like that I'd not be at all impressed. I actually recall looking away from the screen because I felt like I'd intruded on a very private moment.

In (I think) their Halloween by they're sitting on chairs next to each other, but the positioning of their legs is very, erm, 'unusual' for a) the angle they're both sitting at and b) two people with a supposedly entirely professional relationship

Do I think it started before she left her husband? No idea, but the attraction was apparent before she baled out of her marriage.
I don't buy this 'since the summer' business though. That's damage-limitation PR to make the timing a bit less damning. Didn't she let something slip on tv about being in LA the same time as Pasha, back at the beginning of the year or something?

Yes she let slip she was in LA around the time of his birthday in January. It does look like she left her husband for him and they've just waited so it doesn't look so bad.
I thought I saw attraction from her but I thought Pasha just treated her like one of his guy buddies. If anything I thought he fancied Kimberley as he used to stare at her smile a lot and was so keen to make her laugh.
I don't remember Rachel and Pasha laughing much together!

I thought that Rachel was enjoying her time in training more than Pasha and that he didn't seem that attracted to her, but he seems to be like that all the time - doesn't give much away. He also had the serious problem of teaching Rachel to dance.

Everybody makes mistakes. It seems Rachel realised she made a mistake in getting married and its better to correct that earlier than later.

Good luck to them both, they make a lovely couple ♥ - If they did get together at end of last years series then it probably wasn't that she specifically left her husband for him, but more that Pasha helped her through a difficult time and they grew closer from that.

Who knows though and the very best of luck to them both

I was totally flabbergasted when I saw it tbh.
I didn't see this coming especially when a LOT of fms at the time said that they didn't seem to have ANY chemistry at ALL so excuse my surprise

I'm going to rewatch their dances and vts . I can't believe they fooled me . I didn't see this coming lol.

I remember seeing how devastated Pasha looked when then were eliminated. I've rarely seen him look like that.. hmmm.....

When did you hear about it?

I know a lot of people thought that the 'big attraction' last year was Abbey & Alijaz, on account of her being very touchy-feely, but to me, if something is going on, you go out of your way NOT to touch someone like that so publicly. With Abbey I got the impression that it was more a case of her not having much of a 'behaviour filter' and not monitoring or amending her gestures. She did what she felt like doing, without thinking it through or worrying how it looked (because as far as she was concerned, there was nothing to worry about, so she didn't view touching Alijaz as something that she shouldn't do in front of people) .

Whereas 'micro-gestures' - tiny little looks or touches when there is very little else in the way of looks, touches, etc - are much more of a giveaway. This was how I spotted an affair between two people within my social group.

But what do I know ~ tomorrow the papers might be awash with the news that Abbey & Alijaz were at it like knives

I wonder if she's learned to loosen up and enjoy dancing? She always seemed like she didn't get the meaning of movement. But I bet that has changed. Lucky Rachel to have her Strictly experience prolonged Lucky Pasha too.
