Might have some fundamental common ground as they are both capricorns

It's always the couples who appear to have limited chemistry who are the ones who are boffing each other.

I do remember saying that it was obvious at the time. That training room floor saw a bit of action, I would guess

Isn't there an episode of Friends where Joey tells Chandler the same thing about the actress he's dating: chemistry onstage = nothing going on, no chemistry onstage = doing it. All is well until one night Chandler goes to see the play and suddenly there is no chemistry between actress/girlfriend and leading man ...

The thing is, you can have chemistry, but you don't have to take it anywhere - does who do have made a decision to do so!

Yes I think with Pasha and Kimberley it looked it was more on his side - perhaps more of a schoolboy type crush on someone more mature (emotionally) and unobtainable.

Although I couldn't read Pasha well last year I thought Rachel at times looked smitten and made it obvious. Having now read his book he comes across a type of Peter Pan figure so I think he would feel more comfortable with someone that bit younger, less worldly and a little bit gauche.

Talking about the chemistry on screen not off business. I though Kara and Artem had both. But I suppose they didn't need to hide it from anyone.

Brad and Angelina have the worst chemistry ever as two leads in Mr and Mrs Smith, yet in real life you can tell he adores her.

Critics said the same thing about Russell Crowe and Meg Ryan in Proof of Life.

I seem to recall that on a VT or ITT clip, Rachel said almost wistfully what a 'nice' man Pasha was. Also Pasha often looked very uncomfortable sitting next to her on the ITT sofa, so in hindsight, the signs were all there

I wish them well.

Apparently so. Odd as they had ZERO chemistry when they danced together. I know she is pretty but she is very unsexy and was terrible on SCD. I can't help thinking Pash could do better than Ms Twee. I always wanted him to get with Kimberley but she had a longterm partner.

Ignore me please. Was going to make silly point about longterm partners but thought better

They always looked very self conscious in VTs, which makes sense now, as Rachel was on all fours in front of the training room mirror moments before,

I do think maybe this is his preference it wouldn't be quite so intimidating.
I think he was in awe of Kimberley.
As you say Kimberley had a longterm partner.............and as Pasha has said of her - extraordinary integrity.

I adore Pasha. I did wonder something about their chemistry last series and Rachel's divorce almost confirmed it for me. But I didn't think that they will be dating. When people were saying that he has difficult time teaching Rachel, I saw it in other way, I saw that he couldn't teach her the way he did with Chelsee and Kimberley is because he has some feelings towards her if that makes sense. He sometimes looked little bit sad, I don't know why, but it rather came across to me like he couldn't be with her because she is married. Anyway, I'm happy for Pasha and Rachel, I couldn't see him sad when they were eliminated, hope it goes well for them.

BIB: Totally agree. This is what I thought about her marriage when I felt she might be falling for Pasha, I did see their chemistry, but it is unfair to blame any of them. I know he had chemistry with both Chelsee and Kimberley, but with Rachel it was so different, he looked sad sometimes and she looked so smitten with him and there were some awkward moments when they were being near each other like trying to avoid each other to stop looking stupid. I don't believe in anything more though such as physical relationship. Even as feelings are concerned, I didn't think they will proceed it any further because of her marriage. Anyway, it is better to be divorced rather than being in an unwanted marriage, not fair to her husband. Same as you I wish good luck to all concerned.

I am pretty sure that the news being disclosed now is something to do with this....

To make sure the producers don't get it into their heads to run a "showmance" storyline with them.

Last year was also his first time on Strictly as a single man which maybe makes a difference. I think someone wrote on the forums that Katya said on their tour last year he was single and ready to mingle.
His long-term relationship ended after the Kimberley series I think I read.

I concur and especially with the timing of the release of that info.

I was reading how wealthy Rachel's young hubs was (or at least, his family)

And wondering how a poor dancer will be able to compete with that. I can't see that she'll get much from rich hubs as they were only married for five minutes, she hasn't helped him build up his career, there are no offspring to support.
