Question: Is EE’s ‘My EE’ services broken, or is it just me?

I got an EE PAYG SIM yesterday with £20 credit, but on registering it on their website, as well as showing an error ‘Sorry, an unexpected error has occurred. Please try again’, it shows no credit.

And if I go to top up, it shows another error ‘We can't find a mobile number for this account. Please associate one with it’, despite the previous page clearly showing it knows what the number is.

Also, I would have thought the mobile data network settings (on iPhone) would change to EE’s, but it doesn’t. It still has the old Giffgaff settings. Resetting the settings doesn’t change it. Do I have to change them manually? If so, what are they? Nowhere on EE’s help pages say.

I must say, as a potential new customer, they’re really not making a very good first impression here.

First of all, yes it's broken.

Second - just change the APN to;

everywhere

That'll sort it

To use giffgaff you may have installed a profile which will override any automatic settings. Settings, General, Profiles and remove it if so.

Bingo! That was it. Thanks.

Credit still not showed up and My EE still broken, but one step at a time.

It did go down on Tuesday/Wednesday for 24 hours. They've brought out a new version to accommodate their new 4g tariffs which is supposed to be more stable. Thus you may have to download the update of the app.

Since the app update requiring an email address instead of a user name, I can't log into the MY EE app. Neither can I log into the website to verify my email address.

Just been to the EE store. They had no explanation why my credit hadn't materialised and they did not know that their website and app was broken. And didn't really seem to care either way when I showed them the error messages.

Anyway, rectified it by cancelling the original topup and then topping up via 150. At least now everything I want to do I can do from there for the time being... touch wood. Still, doesn't exactly inspire much confidence.

Yep definately broken, my account is supposed to have 5 addons including 25% off plan charge every month, but its been showing 0 addons since they did this "maintenance" and if on the 13th i find out my 25% plan charge has gone, they'll have a problem on their hands! Won't be the first time i've had to ring them because it mysteriously "disappeared"

Looking at posts on the EE Forum, many people are having problems logging in to their accounts. I can get as far as the landing page where an error message appears and I can get no further.

That's a lot of pissed off customers! For a communication company, seems they're not particularly good at communicating.

Funnily enough "My T-Mobile" - which runs on the "myee" platform and which seems to share much of the logic has been pretty much solid in recent months. After a VERY bad spell - which went on for weeks - about April/May!

EE isn't a reliable network. The app and website rarely work, the network itself can be unreliable. Feels like paying a premium price for a second rate service at the moment but I'm locked in a contract until December 2015.

EE has a great network but the My EE app is not reliable. It's something they need to work on. Maybe they need some feedback to address this issue.

Hard to believe but the EE login page is still displaying 'Landing Error'.

EE reliable? I myself have not had a Orange phone for years, but I know plenty of people who have T-mobile/Orange and now gone onto the EE network and when they phone me, all I get is stuttering.

Orange was crap when I used them years ago and it seems they are no better now.

This is great; My allowance expires in -1 hour! Well done EE, that makes perfect sense.

Now if I try and use that up, what's the betting it will actually come out of my new 15GB allowance when it sorts itself out?

When I log into my account it shows an old handset that I had 2 years ago. When I try to change it I get an error message "sorry adult content is blocked"

Their customer service is a joke "sorry it's a problem we know about and don't know when it will be fixed try again later"

It's been like that for 3 weeks. Effing useless

Content lock is blocking all sorts of things of late. Another annoyance to add to the list.

Yes, I noticed it was blocking some sites you wouldn't expect it to. But it's okay cos if I go to My EE and login to my account, I can remove the block! Great! Except, not...

'Sorry, we couldn't find that page.'

<sigh>

Effin useless!

I have big problems with EE my account it worked fine for over 12 months then EE changed it saying that you had to sign up again and now login using email address.

So I did all that and it created an account problem is now whenever i try to login i get an error saying end user already exists, So i am unable to check on my usage has anybody got any ideas on how to resolve this issue ?
