He's decent/good and he has a nice vibe. He seems real.

I was afraid he was going to be put in the 8-piece boyband but I've checked he's not.

Anything can happen for him, especially with the free voting. If he gets the main attention from the teens (and he has great competition for that vote this year), he could go far.

Seen a few videos of him as he's from my hometown. He's very good.

I really liked his rendition of Waves. I'm not sure if he'll make the live shows now as they seem to much prefer Jake.

I love how he turns every song into his own, I think this is proof that he could literally sing anything in his own style. I can't believe Mel stopped him (like WHY when he was about 2 lines into the song and she never even gave him a proper chance ) because that probably made him even more nervous and disrupted his flow when there was nothing wrong in the first place...

Hoping the rumours about Jack being a wildcard are through! I can see him lasting long if he picks his own songs!

Amazing rendition of this song! So different and interesting, his vocals were really on point, they should've toned down the music a bit though so it was more ~acoustic~ I feel. I've given him my 5 votes

Expecting maybe Steph and Blonde Electra to be eliminated? I think Fleur/Lola could be in trouble as well.

So glad Jack is in the live shows, I was really disappointed when Mel sent him home. I like his voice the best out of everyone in the competition and he seems genuinely nice too.

I definitely don't think this was his best night. I liked the performance but his potential is way beyond this song, he can do so much better. I thought the change in tempo was pretty cool though and he did a good job with what he had.

Really hope he isn't in trouble this week. I was a bit worried when I heard he was doing 'Eye of the Tiger', but I actually think he sang it really well. Looks like he's had a falling out with Mel B, unusual for a mentor to say "IF you're here next week".

He was awful.

Wow what? I can't watch the show live so can never be bothered sitting through all the judges' comments when I watch the performances on Youtube later so I didn't hear this. That is such an awful thing to say, proving she doesn't really care or believe in him. I hope he proves her wrong and stays... VOTE, GUYS.

Mel B was so disloyal tonight trying to make out Jack was being unproductive with her this week and said something like "only letting me know about a change in song/style a night before" Jack's songs have been awful so far which is annoying as he knows exactly what kind of artist he wants to be but isn't being allowed to showcase it by the producers or Mel (like a lot of acts) Just look at his performances of Waves and Aint Nobody, I really want him to do another accoustic performance if he stays.Interesting that he tweeted saying he wanted to do Vanessa Carlton 1000 Miles which would've been much better than Eye Of The Tiger.

Under the appreciation thread title it says that the appreciation threads are for 'positive and constructive' messages. "He was awful" is neither. You are entitled to your opinion, but if it isn't positive or constructive, then it should be in the main forum.

Cannot believe Mel wouldn't back him up when the judges were making their comments. On Xtra Factor Jack said that they wanted him to dance more and have his shirt ripped off during the performance, but he thought it would cheapen it and he just wanted to concentrate on the song. So glad he did that, he's not Stevi Ritchie FFS! I thought that Jack's singing was great last night, particularly at the beginning of the song, when you could really hear him. I agree that he seemed a bit uncomfortable in the second half, probably because it's so far removed from the kind of songs/performances he usually does. Really hope he stays and gets to do something that is more suited to him next week.

That's awful that Mel said this, she could at least have taken it up with him after the show was over (off camera) and show him some support but instead it's starting to look like she's bussing him in favour of her other guys. I saw those tweets (he's deleted them now though, probably got told to ) and I agree it would've been a great song choice for him.


So basically you want to support him because he's from your hometown but you don't really like him? You really need to refrain from posting in here.
