I used 50GB last month and wouldn't have been able to on 3G. My area is mostly covered by 4G, it's not perfect but the 4G is much faster than the 3G in general, and the 4G is always more responsive. I don't see how it's meaningless at all, personally I'd rather pay £20 for as much slower data as I want rather than a blazing fast gigabyte. It's not EE fast but it's perfectly good for streaming Netflix etc.
If you have poor service from Three in your area and you don't like the tariffs, then don't use Three. Same goes for anyone on any network, you are gonna get a different service depending on where you live.

100 minutes, 4GB of data, couldn't give a toss what g it is so long as it a couple of Mbit or over so it is usable and 2000 texts would be lovely. It seems to me it is Three that thinks the entire world wants unlimited everything and millions of calls.”
I don't know any network that would give you 100 minutes and 4GB of data, for example, most of EEs plans give out unlimited texts and minutes and that's the way it's going to go as data becomes the only thing that's actually worth paying for.
