Big Brother Canada 3 :- Pre-season news and discussion thread.
Since BB16 is finally coming to an end in a couple of weeks, it seems a good time to move on to the next season of BBCan as news should start slowly dripping in soon
![]() It's still a few months away, will probably begin at the beginning of March if it follows last season's schedule. The casting website merely confirms it starts in 'spring'. It's been announced the new season will move from it's old home on Slice to a new home on Global! This is basically an upgrade, and should mean that the show has a larger budget. What this means for the live feeds is unknown, there may be a price attached to accessing them now. The announcement of the station move can be found here. Hopefully BB Canada will continue it's strong record so far. Another Neda wouldn't go amiss after this years US female cast.

I'm desperate for a strong female player or even an alliance. And I want a season with clear alliances and divisions to stop the Derrick's and Andy's sailing through easily

I didn't watch Season 2 as I 1 was too much throwing every twist they could think of in and aside from Gary/Topaz I found the other unlikable, particularly Jillian, Emmett and that other guy was it Andrew or something.
Anyway seems I missed a good season last year so I'll try and watch Season 3. |

I'm not sure if series two will live up to expectations for those who watch the episodes only.
I found the episodes to be badly put together, and consisted of very little game. Live feed was where it was at. It was THE best series to date, for me (been watching this format since BB12US), but like I said, the episodes are pretty poor. Some very key moments were ignored on the episodes, and I often found myself confused as to what was going on in the game (well, not really because I watched live feed, but I often thought 'if I didn't watch live feed, I wouldn't know why X came to that decision). Loyalty and alliances weren't clarified and game moves weren't explained. Often, we never truly knew how the houseguests felt and some alliances were completely ignored. If I wasn't so glued to the live feeds, I would've found it very hard to follow the series and wouldn't rate it all that well. It's such a shame, as those who didn't watch it 'in real time' and want to see what all the fuss is about now via the episodes will be disappointed, I think. |

Canada series 2 was amazing, the best I've watched, but I've read that a lot of people who just watched the highlights thought the series was at best mediocre. A shame really.
It's like the opposite of the latest US series which had horrific livefeed but good highlights. |

A couple of things. Quote:
More important than winning the first Big Brother Canada title and $100,000 in cash, was meeting Emmett Blois, says New Glasgow native Jillian MacLaughlin. She and Blois, the dairy farmer from Gore, known as Jemmett to fans of the hit reality TV show, are now living together in Blois’ hometown. http://thechronicleherald.ca/artslif...ory-comes-true Quote:
REGINA – The hit TV show Big Brother Canada made a pit-stop in the Queen City on Friday to host open casting calls at the Queensbury Convention Centre. http://globalnews.ca/news/1633862/bi...out-in-regina/
Hundreds of hopefuls from all over the province lined up outside as early as 5:30 a.m. strategizing how they would sell themselves to the producers as the best possible houseguest to be chosen for season three. |

More Strategic GODDESS's like Neda and FIERCE AND FABULOUS likable contestants such as Heather <333
Make a strong female cast. So far we've had two amazing winner in Jillian and Jon. Hopefully it keeps up that trend. |

Will definitely be watching.
I think both previous series have been huge successes, the casting department have done a great job so far. They've got the mix of formats just right aswell, sometimes I feel like I'm watching BBUS other times it's like BBUK. |

Season 2 was just amazing, and even though i only watched the episodes i still found it to be one of my favourite BB seasons ever.

This post has made me wish i was watching it in real time last year and the live feeds

Season 2 was just amazing, and even though i only watched the episodes i still found it to be one of my favourite BB seasons ever.I loved listening to Ika's and Neda's chats on live feed in the first two weeks - they were so informed and were spot on about everything going on in the house. I think I made a comment on here actually, about it seeming as though they had access to the feeds! I have no idea how Ika messed up so badly - I was so happy when she won HoH and that competition was so intense (Ika vs. four members of First Five - I lost hope for the series there and then, only to be jumping around with joy a few seconds later; then Ika messed up anyway ).Neda's observations throughout the entire game were spot on - by far the best player of the series. The only error she made was allowing Sabrina to get so far, it was obvious anyone in the final three with Sabrina would take her over anyone else, and ultimately she paid the price for her one mistake in the game! Such a shame. Actually, I do remember a time when I lost hope in Neda. It was during Rachelle's HoH week. Once it was all but confirmed that Ika was going home, Ika was trying to help her out, and Neda said she was just going to cling onto Jon, and hope Kenny and co. allow her to sail on by because they think she'll be a number for them... and I believe had it not been for Canada's HoH, that's the direction she would've gone in. Whether it would've worked or not, I don't know, but I don't think her game would've been nearly as good as it was because Sabrina, Kenny and Andrew didn't give her the time of day - weren't interested in her opinion on the game at all, whilst Arlie and Neda always found game talk awkward, so if it weren't for Canada, Neda may have been evicted from the series looking useless/like a spare part... but, of course, we can only rate her for what she did do, rather than what if's, and for me, she's one of the best players to come out of Big Brother. Bring on series three!!! Can't wait

It was so good from start to finish. I got frustrated during Ika's and Rachelle's reign of HoH due to their stupid moves and allowing First Five to continue, but Canada soon sorted that out and the other housemates actually woke up and started to play the game!

It was obvious Heather was reaching Final 6 - 4 based on that. I hope Jon would have won HoH if they did just an ordinary comp instead of a Canada HoH but I am not so fussed,. The 1st 5 did need to go for me a viewer. I do agree with your assessment on Neda. She did make the most on the new twist etc and was upping her game on live feed. The show made her look like a spare part in the 1st half so fans would not have been bothered but Neda going Week 6 etc would have been such a huge loss. |

Though I'd have tuned into it if Neda was on. Exactly the same here! I don't think I even bothered attempting the Side Show, just because I realised within a minute I'd want to throttle Peter!
