Hi all, I must say its seems a far friendlier place here 😃 if you have and questions I'm happy to answer any I can, and obviously to do with what I do in the band etc.

Hi Trev, you came back!
Have you ever been seriously star struck by any of the guest singers on the show, or met someone who was your idol from long ago? |

OOoooo. You have put me in a position there, Because I want to ask a question on behalf of many of us but I fear it might compromise you and your contracts with the Beeb. So I will understand if you don't feel able to answer.
But who for goodness sake picks the music? And why do they choose such staggeringly inappropriate tracks so often. You guys do a great job of bring the numbers to life but some of the numbers you are asked to perform are Dance is first and foremost about music - dancers and dances are only following in the footprints of the musicians and composers. They create we merely reinterpret. SO why upset that alliance?I am happy if you need to do a "you might think that I couldn't possibly comment' response.

Lovely to see you both back.
These are questions for the Hat. Does Trev only wear you when playing? When did he start wearing you and why? Has he ever threatened to swap you for a younger version? Hopefully less controversial questions than ATP's |

What are three things you need, temperament-wise, to be a good bass player?
(As opposed to being an oompah player or a flautist or whatever) |

If someone were going to sing in my head I would feel blessed if it were Nat King Cole. I can't think of anyone better.

Trev
It would be good if you could name the band members with their instruments and singers and in particular the instrumental and vocal soloists for each song. Whoever sang La Bamba is pretty good. Faithful to the Connie Francis version even if a bit OTT with the "Rs" as Connie was. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oJosvYiv9gY |

The DJ played Bizet's "Habanera" and we both hummed it softly a bit so I said "Sing it" and she did softly and then louder and louder. Naturally I hammed up the lead and torso conducted her to her singing. Wonderful. Brilliant experience. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KJ_HHRJf0xg Funny that 25 years ago I had singing lessons from someone I met at Salsa. I wanted to learn to sing this well.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UkrfP0G5rIg My favourite waltz from "A walk in the clouds" one of my favourite films. I'll ask the DJ to play it but won't sing it. The words are a bit too meaningful. |

http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showp...1&postcount=20 Hi Trev! So cool of you to pop in to say hello. My question is that it's seven years since you wrote that first post, so what kind of changes have you seen as a band member since then to do with the music and the singers? ![]() Thanks in the hope you are able to reply.

Hi Trev
Maybe you can answer this one in general terms? I've often wondered what the pros work with when teaching the celeb. Often the music is cut down and sometimes rearranged. Does the band have any input at that stage, does the pro cut and paste the song, or do the BBC provide someone to edit the music? |
