I wonder if Trev would consider being a contestant on the show? A choreographer's dream to incorporate hats in every routine

I only discovered this thread as a result of someone mentioning it on the Jay App thread. I just want to say what a brilliant job Tommy did singing Jay's Charleston song- it really stood out for me.

Can I just say how much I appreciate the fact that Trev is back in shot again this year, rather than being sidelined.
All bow before the Man in the Hat.

Bow down! Bow down to the Man in the Hat!

If we talk about him, it might summon him back...

Hi All, it's another year so I thought I should check in with my friends. Hope you're all well. Stop all the bow downing, no need for that. Looks like we've got a great series ahead. I'm blogging from the band Facebook page if you're interested. SCD Band.
See you later T x

Beautiful tonight! The singers excelled themselves. Just wonderful. You can feel the live quality bouncing through the screen so thank you very much to everyone...

Hello. How nice for you to take the time to pop in. I wrote on another thread that the music last night was (more than usually)) terrific. Loved the charleston music for both dances and your rendition of that awful pop song Marvin Gaye. Thought the Strictly one far superior.

I shall look in on the FB page.

Enjoy the series and hope to see you in shot more.

Hey Trev

So pleased to see you and your hat returned to your rightful place behind the band leader (whoops I forget his name - and I have heard his name check every Saturday night for 12 years!). Anyway I am delighted that TPTB have seen fit to put you where we get to enjoy your cheeriness. If you are allowed give us a little wave.

Oh no don't wish that on him. Hats, in common with all props, take on a mind of their onw the minute you mix them with music!

Troo. But still... I want this to happen. There must be lots of hat themed music for him to dance to tho at this hour I can only come up with the Mexican Hat Dance. Would that do for a waltz? Oh, I know, Wherever I Lay My Hat That's My Home, umm, You Can Keep Your 🎩 On... any others?? What's that Queen song 'with his brim pulled way down low? Ain't no sound but the sound of his feet...' etc?

Any way Trev's latest blog is heeeeere: https://www.facebook.com/permalink.p...91785440907312

He loves Ballsy

Band and singers did a good job tonight I thought. I also wonder if there is a new musical director. Its the first movie week when I haven't spent half the show biting my fist owing to the inapppropriate choice of songs/music for the dance styles.

Well, he couldn't manage that - safety concerns perhaps? But I saw that sneaky hand waving from the far right of my screen when Tess intro'd Dave Arch. Well done Trev (if not Hat)!
I squee-ed, waved back and saw you and your Hat with out the camera's assistance.

Oh yeah - that Mexican Hat Dance again

I'll add my appreciation for the hat that is Trev's and it's owner, if that's ok?

I've been lurking for a year, after forgetting my password and had to make a new account - which took forever.
So Hat, you have the dubious privilege of my 1st post x

Saw Trev raising his hat on Saturday (19th) I'd like to think it was for our benefit. He is a bit tucked away for my liking but I could just make him out on Saturday thanks to the raised hat.

Hi Hat!
Would you mind asking Trev if his was the same rose Ed gave to Craig in the main show then Darcey in the dance off?
Happy to see you've claimed a more prominent position for the cameras

Hi All,

I hope you're all well. Me and hat wanted to say hi and Merry Christmas, and thank you for the support throughout the series. Not just for me and the hat but for all the band and singers.
Btw it wasn't a rose in my mouth, it was a drum stick, I played a large surdu on Oti and Danny's Cuban piece, think it was a salsa, you'd think I'd know after all these years!

All the best for now.
Trev x (and the hat)

Hi Trev, a very happy Christmas to you and thanks so much for popping in with some news. I shall play the Danny/Oti salsa and listen for the surdu (?)

I think the Strictly band and singers are amazing. I love your work more as the years progress.

With seasonal greetings, Maggie
