The exact same thing crossed my mind tonight. A bad edit for Gary followed by chants of "Get Gary out" by a few people who seemed to be suspiciously near to Emma......it all seemed rather weird.

I'm normally no conspiracy theorist but the loud cheers for Dee and the chants of "Get Gary out" (when he hasn't even had a bad week in there) on top of a very bad edit for him tonight made me very suspicious.

Its about time Gary got some boos I didn't find it suspicious at all, people are finally realising that Gary has been acting since he went into bb.

Not so much the boos but there seem to be a very small number of people chanting "Get Gary out" (but interestingly the main crowd didn't join in). It just seemed odd that they would go after him of all people, as if he is the demon of the house.....I did wonder if it was just a few Channel 5 employees placed strategically close to Emma.

Whether Gary wins or not is incidental ... your premise is incorrect

There was a time when 'the crowd reaction' was a pretty accurate indication of what was about to unfold ... whether our forum agreed with it or not

That isn't the case anymore

How the crowd reacts ... who they boo and who they cheer ... no longer bears any relevance to the eventual outcome

That's what's changed

So what is the explanation ?

Eviction crowds mean nothing on Vote to Saves/Vote to Wins, its that simple.

I remember Aaron being booed every week he was up... but on a Vote to Save he had his fan base, he was kept in, and he won, leaving the house to boos.

Others have been booed week in week out, look at James, when he's been up this series, booed, yet kept in...

The crowd are sheep, I'm sure some are plants, and I personally know of a group of friends who went to an eviction to support Aaron one week, and weren't allowed in with their 'Aaron to Win' sign as its not what they wanted to show on TV (they hated the fact he won their show, still do.. wont ever forget the final week of bad edits for him, and the way everyone on Bit on the Side slated him).

She was actually making a pun that you couldn't hear well over the crowd. She said 'How much more a-Busey can you take'. a-Busey / abuse

I absolutely agree, it's the same male voice booing loudest every eviction night, conveniently located near the microphone ....

I view the manipulation differently to most. I don't see that it is about creating a "chosen one". I think it's more to do with creating a hero and vilian scenario.
I don't think it matters to them who actually wins, what matters is engineering the dynamic off the two warring fractions and the perceived popularity of the vilian (e.g. Helen before and Dee this time) to peak for the final.
It just ensures maximum voting revenue as the surge in betting and popularity makes the outsider a sudden possible winner. Playing to both their supporters and the anyone but the favourite viewers.
Ultimately the winner doesn't matter, first or second even top three is sufficient to raise profile of those they have an interest in.

that's a very good point actually. I've also noticed - as have we all, I'm sure - that the edits for Gary have not been as positive as they have been and Dee is being shown more and more as the House Mother Who Is KInd And Lovely. Brace yourselves people...

I agree slightly, but I don't think it's just eviction crowds. People have complained often enough on here that the winner wasn't the one the forum was supporting and that is was someone they hated. It doesn't really matter in general how much a contestant is hated in a vote to save/vote to win. All that matters is how much they are liked and how much their fans are prepared to vote for them.

funny huh, for the past 3 weeks James, his Wife Ola and his close friends gets OTT disgusting comments thrown at them on BOTS. The one BOTS that was almost human like and not the normal baying for James's blood, the BOTS audience & the guest panellists must be paid to say nice things.

Well I for one was completely shocked by Luisa last nite, she toned down her hatred towards James, maybe the producers had a little word with her. But was surprised she even admitted James was a worthy finalists
