Actually of the final 6 i only like Gary & Audley

I can see him potentially winning because I think it's a bit of a Chantelle effect. You know, that 'normal' person in Celebrity Big Brother with the other contestants being celebrities.

For whatever reason the average viewer seems to like the idea of a 'normal' person winning CBB.

So if there is anyone in there who we might say aren't really celebrities, Dee and George to name just two, then the public may well be on side with them because they will see them being more like them.
They do say that in Britain there is a tendency of people having Tall Poppy Syndrome, where we like to knock people who are held in high esteem off their perch. I'm not sure to how much extent this is true, but there is possibly a bit of that going on at least.
How satisfying to have a 'normal' person knocking a celebrity off their pedestal. Yayy for the underdog, and all that.

I think it has a lot to do with familiarity. That people may well have a tendency to support somebody who they see to be more similar to them than a celebrity who has achieved what they have so far with hard work and talent they've developed all their life.
Too much effort.
Much more satisfying for some to identify with a 'normal' person who can become a celebrity overnight and be famous for being famous. Because it gives people the opportunity to dream and think "Hey, that could be me that could".
If George and Dee can become an overnight celebrity then the gap between what it takes to become a celebrity from being an average Joe seems to be so much more attainable than it would if you had to develop a talent or an ability and work hard for it over many years.

So I think it's easier for the average viewer to feel more familiarity with the likes of the Dees and the Georges. They provide something aspirational within the emotions which makes people feel that it's possible to dream to be rich and famous. But to become a celebrity based on what you can actually do would feel like a mountain to climb. To be an actor in film, or even in a soap, doesn't feel like a realistic of plausible dream to wish for.

I say that if people want 'normal' people to win BB then you may as well put them into civilian BB. For celebrities, put them in CBB and not confuse the issue between celebrities and civilians.

I still think Gary will beat them all by a wide margin (that bandwagon is too full and too fast to be stopped now).

..but it's not surprising that Georges odds have shortened. With Ricci gone he's now the youngest "laddish" male, with Lauren gone the Essex vote is now all his. It won't be enough for the win but it's enough to make it a little bit more of a contest (having said that ...I still wouldn't like to say George will make second considering all the others have strong fanbases).

Hopefully he's such an obvious winner that people don't bother voting for him”

I liked George in the beginning. He's a natural comedian. Should do standup IMO.
As long as Dee and James go first I'll be happy with a Gary, George, Audley final.

Hes ok compared to others.
However other than cuddling up to the female housemates he hasn't done much at all so i am not seeing why all the love

Betfair:

Gary- 1.72
George- 4.8
Audley- 7.0
Dee- 9.4
James- 23
Edele- 42”

I'm sure there are lots of people who vote without betting. Was just thinking of Clair and sorry she had to leave. Think she would have made a difference to all the gang mentality.
