Lauren grew on me as time went by, especially seeing her have to put up with that pillock Ricci. No wonder she finally set him straight. She also went up in my estimations for showing compassion toward Gary and for her Audley love.

In her exit interview I thought she was honest and described her Ricci relationship in the way that it came across to me... They had a laugh, he fancied her, she flirted, but then wasn't sure, then everyone was telling her to give him a chance, so she gave in a bit, they flirted some more, she said lets take it slow and will see what happens, then the more she got to know him the more she saw he is a twit, she told him its never gonna happen since I realised you're a tool.

Then she got boo'd and Ricci got largely cheers and awwws...

She was boring when sober and irritating when drunk.

Vacuous girls that (for some reason) fancy Ricci.

the same girls that cheered him (amazingly)

I didn't like her at all. I thought she was boring for the first 2 weeks then only came to life when she had a drink. And even then that was not a pretty sight. Gawd knows what Mark saw in her

Was she more boring than Dee, Ricci, Edele?

She became very irritating this week. There are only 3 conversations in the house: Gary versus anyone asking/fighting why they think he is rude followed by a hug and burble about the milk of human kindness and God and earlier lives; Edele whingeing she is going through a separation; and Lauren incoherently 'explaining' to Rikki or anyone else that she thinks he is the most amazing person evah only she thinks he is not amazing.

God, she was like a broken record.

It was horrible. As bad as she seemed for most of the series, Lauren really turned me around on her near the end. And Ricci seemed to show himself up as a bigger and bigger w*nker each time. It became clear that most of the "she's playing with Ricci" story was generated by JAMES first encouraging the two of them to try it, even after Lauren said she wasn't interested, and then James also being the one to "warn" Ricci that she was playing with him. In other words, it was James manipulating and playing a mind game.

Towards the end I think she probably had less patience for the games, was fed up with how much of an idiot Ricci is, and didn't even want to TRY and pretend anymore. That speaks well of her, not badly.
What name??

Agree with this summation.

Lauren turned out to be OK and Ricci turned out to be a total ********. But once again the woman catches all the flack while the man receives all the support.

Female on female misogyny is alive and well.

Aside from the excessive drinking and losing control at those times, Lauren only really made one huge mistake. Her insistence all along that Ricci was such a smashing all-right bloke. It's CLEAR she doesn't believe this, and this one bit of massive insincerity hurt her more than helped her. She wasn't showmancing to get support. She was simply trying to get along in that house, and Ricci was the one closest in age and circumstances to her. You could see in those early episodes how hesitant she was. Later on people forgot about that.

As I said before James (and to a lesser extent Dee and Stephanie) is to blame for most of this. James pushed them together with Stephanie and Dee's support as a game, and James also planted all of the notions that she was playing with poor wittle Ricci. This was manipulation, pure and simple. And then Dee (less intentionally) took them on jointly as her "bay-beeeeeees" and that kept the two of them cemented together.

Lauren was in it to win it, she thought a showmance would help her, especially when she was drunk her volte face about Gary when he kept getting cheered made her think that she would stay in till the final. She is a veteran for getting headline and we saw through her.

Again, good analysis. Agree that the manipulation and twisting of James, along with Dee's 'motherly' dominion, very much "pressured" and "cornered" (telling phrases from Lauren) Lauren into being more receptive to Ricci's advances than she instinctively wanted to be. The fact that she actually had the gumption to pull away from the group-think re: Gary (though Audley was a support there) and the Ricci thing, speaks well of her as an individual. It is a shame she got booed, she has done nothing (barring get a bit pished and annoying) to deserve the crowds disapprobration.

Another telling thing Lauren said, which Stephanie also seemed to imply some time ago, is that Ricci only moved in on Lauren and pressured her when she was drunk (which of course means when she was more malleable and far less self-controlled.) He never spent time with her when she was sober. The cynical little sh!t!

Agreed and also it was apparent how much more chilled and relaxed and HAPPY she was when just sitting about with Gary and Audley honking once she'd got away from the "bitchy gang".

For those who will miss her. The magazines will soon be full of every aspect of CBB, from her eyes

That is what she does, nowadays

Mama Dee really did look as if she was chewing a wasp - after her "twins" were evicted, last night

I noticed this as well. He's really incredibly vile. I was utterly dumbfounded at the support he received. Even if you remove the awful sense of entitlement he felt he had to Lauren, he was still completely vapid and pointless. He did nothing. Who on earth felt passionate enough about him to cheer? Ridiculous man.
I actually warmed towards Lauren in the end. It's clear she never liked him, was told to give him a chance, she became open to the idea. Then changed her mind because she got to know him better. Ricci was acting like she always just wanted to be friends. No, you just put her off with your ridiculous expectant attitude. Moron.

That'll be Gary's fault. Everything's Gary's fault. Him staying is probably rude.

Not in my book. Naive and frightened of being herself away from them but I ended up really liking her. And here's me thinking that boos were for the nasty guys!

I was quite sad to see Lauren go last night. I wasn't keen initially but this last week she really settled down and come in to her own imo. Shame we didn't get to see more of that Lauren.

Guess the booing was part down to the Ricci stuff.
Well we are all doomed if we are condemned for changing our minds about someone once we've got to know them and seen what a prized twonk they are ......

I really warmed to Lauren over the last few days. She really didn't come across as nasty and just seemed to want to put Ricci straight about their non-relationship. I also don't understand why she was boo'd by the crowd.
