It's instinct Rosie. If say 100 people were together for a few days, eventually they'd divide up into their groups as they'd sense who they were more like by using instinct and who would make them feel 'normal' for want of a better word.
Because they're so threatened and insecure, they need backing and support and will use anything to get this whether it's lies, intimidation or just basically buttering someone up to gain their trust and support. It's amazing what we humans do sometimes to fit in. Some are leaders, others are followers and it's the followers who're the worst in one respect because they feed the leaders, giving them a false sense of being right.
At the end of the day, they're like a pack of dogs waiting to pounce. For me the fact that Lauren took so long to come around proves my point.
