I don't get it. Ola isn't roaring drunk and exposing her bare breasts for attention here. I should imagine James feels proud when Ola is looking beautiful and sexy.

Proud that his wife goes out in public in a completely see through top exposing her bare breasts, but because she's not drunk that makes it fine?
Some people would think being so calculating for photographers is worse than doing it when drunk.

I don't think it's quite that bad. I mean, I wouldn't wear something semi-seethrough without a bra, but many is the celeb who's been accidentally over-exposed by a camera glare.

And I can actually imagine James not minding because he'd feel territorial and proud, as in "this is all mine". I can even imagine him approving the dress first.

I always enjoy your posts AOTB and this one even more. You summoned up James better than I could.

As someone pointed out this guy is a walking contradiction, he says he likes telling it like it is but absolutely can not take any criticism or feedback like we saw how he reacted to the conflict resolution counselling.

He also extremely immature and petty like how tonight when Audley was talking in the dairy room and in the task constantly mocking with his side comments.

I agree with your assessment that he is one of the nastiest person we have ever seen on reality TV

James is not an alpha. Bullies are not alphas. James is Machiavellian, and vile. Audley and Gary are alphas....well-established ones at that.

To me, James shows manipulative narcissistic type behaviour that is designed to isolate and allow him to control. He makes a very good cult leader. He has problems with Audley and Gary because they are uncontrollable, and Gary serves no purpose for him. He doesn't fit into the role of martyr, otherwise he'd latch onto Gary like a barnacle on a ship.

OK - gone off him BIG TIME tonight. I was a bit meh before my holiday - came back and read the threads on here and thought 'that's a bit unfair - he can't be that bad'. I take it back - he is.

James is, without a doubt, the most narccistic person I have ever seen. A family member of mine has had counselling and been diagnosed as having narcissism so I have been around it. But james!! I'm actually finding him a bit unbearable to watch, that ego and winding up is through the roof! Even if someone says something negative about him (ie getting boos), he relishes in it because it about HIM. There is confident, there is cocky and then there is James. Audley must be the most self controlled man, I honestly don't know many men that wouldn't have lost it with him after the stuff he has continuely said to him.

Agree and I like the word 'territorial' you've used here. James is I think 'paternalistic' in the sense of seeing a woman as a subordinate possession rather than a free individual (at least to a degree.)

He usually refers to Ola as 'Ola', but - if my memory serves - in that convo about Lauren in the pool, he used the possessive "My Wife" quite emphatically.

That convo could quite easily have been about dogs or horses:
My dog is a well behaved good dog. But your dog is naughty and badly behaved!

Perhaps James feels the need to portray himself as an alpha male because he feels insecure about being a male dancer and so is overcompensating.

Or maybe he's naturally an aggressive twonk anyway.

Yeah you've just nailed why I found that conversation disturbing. There was something controlling and territorial about the way both men described 'their women'. My understanding from people who watch Geordie Shore is that Ricci was controlling with his girlfriend on there. And it was clear from his graceless response to Lauren's rejection after he'd put her under quite some pressure that once she served no romantic or sexual purpose, she was to him nothing but a showmance-seeking pricktease rather than a confused girl who ultimately just preferred to be friends. No wonder him and James liked each other.

James: A man who tells people they are rude in a really rude and obnoxious way.

Unintentionally ironic at his own expence, and yet does it to make himself look good.

A clueless joke that wore off around day 3 and yet still the public kept him in over Frenchy. Silly public.
