First of all, is this the most random poll ever conducted?

Secondly, I quite like Dot's home. I think it's one of the comfier looking ones in EE.

Thirdly, how the hell did the monstrosity that is Kat and Alfie's Aboriginal-inspired living room not get a special mention?

Who would you guys have voted for?

Well, Dot is quite a traditional, elderly woman so it's not surprising that her house looks old-fashioned! I quite like Aboriginal art but faux-Aboriginal art inside a house can be quite tacky. Rule number one, something can't pretend to be something it's not!

Tirrone's gaff is disgusting, but that's more to do with the months of encrusted filth and grime than any major decorating issues. I'm glad the ceiling fell in, the bedroom floor has never looked that clean.

I always thought Pauline Fowler's house looked a bit dirty and grimy.

Don't know about steps but Po'line certainly 'dubbed' Arthur when she bonked him on the noggin with the frying pan after she found out about him and Hotlips!

This. Would a young couple live in a house which still looks like Vera and Jack own it. Does it still have the cladding at the front? Cant say I've noticed lately. Maybe the accident with the ceiling coming down will force them to re-model

Dots house isn't that bad and she is an old woman so it's fitting. Tyrone and Fiz's house on the other hand is absolutely disgusting. Their decor outdates Dots by about 50 years and they're supposed to be a young couple.

The boomerang and didgeridoo in the Slater household is pathetic! I have many eclectic items in the same style in my living room.

Dot's is excellent IMO, it's exactly how an old persons house would look.

Fizz and Tyrone's place is the worst by far! All those clashing patterns, horrific colours, pound shop art and tacky ornaments...

Dot's house was decorated for her by...I'm thinking Sonia and Robbie...some years back as a surprise. She loved it.

Well after the fire Alfie will have a burnt didgeridoo and his boomerang won't come back!

I assume the whole reason for the production team doing this fire is because they've realised the whole house is a state. The characters can't afford to simply redecorate, so they're just gonna blow it up instead.

I've seen a few country homes in that style. Especially the knitted stuff.

Definitely echoing thoughts on Tirrone and Fiz' squalor of a house.
I feel dirty just looking at their living room.

That's a very good point. Simple but effective. And you can guarantee the burned down remnants of the room will still look better than that decorative wall art.
