I cant help but strongly suspect that its going to be permanently brushed under the carpet and Im not sure how ok I am with that.

Yes.
Eastenders isn't a moral compass. It's a plot-driven drama series and should remain as such. |

I think it's been dealt with for now.
However, I don't think forgotten. It'll rear it's head again at some point, in some form. |

I hope they do their best to forget it happened. would be best all round. not the greatest or strongest storyline at all. as for the character complete waste. they brought him back for kirsty yet the plot was a damb squib and he moved on quick.

No. It probably would had Ronnie not already got away extremely leniently with kidnapping, and had behaved differently when she got out. She is a control freak who needs locking up again.
I find Roxy much better when Ronnie isn't around. |

I don't think we've seen the last of Carl's family, surely they wouldn't just leave it, surely it will resurface a some point in the future.
I know Ronnie's not in her right mind and it was self defence but it's still murder! |

As long as he's thoroughly dead, I'm happy.

I know Ronnie's not in her right mind and it was self defence but it's still murder! If they leave it too late though, the public won't even recognize Carl's family should they return, most people have probably forgotten Carl ever existed already. So if they're planning on doing it they should really get a bit of a move on. |

It's a huge suspension of reality if the family just leave it and I really want Ronnie to go over permanently to The Dark Side and flip her lid. I want a moonlit transformation with storms, lashes of mascara cascading down her red dress, the earth cracking open, gut wrenching screams, a mad organist, the works. Let her be great instead of quivering over fellas like everyone else.

It'll be forgotten until she decides to leave again, then it'll be used as her exit. It happens in real life too: people not getting caught until years later.

I find Roxy much better when Ronnie isn't around. The judge obvs had compassion for the circumstances in which the kidnapping took place. It wasn't a holding someone at gun point ransom note type kidnapping. |

Surely his body would have been found by now! It's ridiculous!
