Maybe it would have been better if James hadn't made such an unpleasant statement, in the first place, then he couldn't be misconstrued at all.

The link was highlighting the fact that many 16 - 18yr old girls feel coerced into having anal sex - very young women who may not yet feel confident enough to say 'no'. It is a big problem - yes.
It does not mean that all anal sex for women is unpleasant.
James was not suggesting that Ricci force himself on anyone, and he does not at any point advocate such a practice.
The phrase 'smash her backdoors in' is crass and vulgar but it does not mean to anally rape someone.
