Btw there seems to be some confusion in regards to 'safe' acts; this only means they can't be nominated by the next person to nominate e.g. in round 5, Aliyah can't nominate Nicolo etc, but CAN nominate everyone saved during David's round, like Jamie Archer. The obvious exception to this are those for who the golden buzzer are pressed, but since no one has used theirs yet, that does not yet apply!

One of the most overrated vocalists on this website and just a whole pick of yuck. ‘Fairy’ Melanie had lungs, I’ll give her that. But I’m sorry, yelling, screaming and shouting through songs is NOT singing and I’m eliminating you now, nice and early, Melanie to stop you from giving yourself permanent throat damage. Well done on surviving a few more rounds in this Rankdown than you did in real life though.

104. Danyl Johnson
Time to shut this one down. Danyl's journey in season 6 was as up and down as his pitch, and from overhyped audition to merciful semi final exit he was all over the place in regards to his voice, body and facial expressions, all of which contributed to a really annoying visual and aural experience.
Danyl's greatest sin ofc was to be bottom 3 in week 3 with Miss Frank who were sadly taken from us that day never to be seen again as a trio and really they have Danyl to thank for that as he aided Simon's post-Alexandra male overhaul agenda, and let's not forget the ridic furor surrounding him singing And I Am Telling You when Danni innocently asked why he didn't change the pronoun from "she" to "he" when Danyl clearly was into guys and the entire world decided this was a homophobic hate crime of unprecedented proportion.
Apparently though the crimes usually attached to any black girl who attempts a Whitney number were attributed to Danyl, as everyone started to think he was not good enough to be as smug as they perceived, and with the aid of bitter swipes from Kandy Rain and some others, Danyl was dragged back down to earth as national treasure Olly Murs swooped in the steal the acolade of top over and Danyl was denied the final, oops.

I could give a list of a million things I'd rather do than listen to Olly Murs, and that includes even listening to District 3. He should never have beat Stacey in the final as well. I'm more than grateful that he has officially fallen off the face of the Earth now. Did you see how arrogant he was during Judges Houses when he was a guest? No thank you.

From his first audition, it was obvious Nicholas was heading down the same route as other forgetful male singers of XF past. Heaps of praise for dull performances, loads of votes from the Mums, and a post X Factor career that lasted as long as Brian Friedman's judging role in XF4. Despite being 16 Nicholas performed like a 70 year old and when Louis tried to make him appeal to younger audiences we were subjected to disgusting performances like 'Candy'. He was basically as safe as you could go for an XF act and only Louis would think he was relevant in the industry today. Even by the finale he started to come across a bit arrogant imo so I was pleased when he lost at the final hurdle, although he shouldn't have made it past round 5. I'm glad to see the back of Nicholas in this competition, although I'm sure this won't stop Aliyah putting on 'Answerphone' at least once a conversation.

I agree with the Nicholas write up although let's not lie, the second half of season 10 was a sabotage campaign on behalf of the producers to make sure he did not win too many of the nation's hearts so that Sam could get her win because It Was Her Time.

The Unconventionals v's Shelly Smith..... I remember I did like The Unconventionals audition but they were terrible on the live shows but I do think that had a lot to do wiht the songs they were given. From googling Shelly she does have a good voice and her auditons were good but her star quality for me is zero and she wasn't great on live shows either. Sooooo...
