OR- (and this looks way more complicated than it is, I promise)

1) write what you want on advanced reply (not basic reply),so you have all the icons above the text box, (bold, italics, spoiler etc)
2) highlight the words you want to put your gif on
3) click on the globe icon called 'insert link' above the text box
4) copy and paste the link you have selected.
