Maybe it's just me, but I think it adds a real atmosphere to EastEnders having episodes, sometimes for the entire week, set entirely during the night hours. So why does that seem to be a rarity these days, with most stuff taking place during the day?. If anything I'd much rather have minimal daytime, rather than the opposite!
Rainie's story is a prime example, it has all taken place like mid-day out in the open (
) when the story would carry much more weight and loneliness if she was out in the dark, when everyone else is in bed. I know it probably seems like a silly, unimportant thing, but I dunno, there are some grim storylines going on, but they don't come across as 'grim' because it usually always takes place in the safe, warm sunshine, with a square full of people and chatter...
Does anyone else feel like this, or know if there is a reason why there is a lack of night-based stuff?
