I imagine James must be a nightmare to live with
He comes across as a real control freak to me. Hope he (and Dee) are first out on a double. She's a nightmare too. What a horrible horrible pair!

Poor Ola .... she must have spent the last 15 years veering between being Eliza Doolittle, and getting her back doors smashed in

Well I'm not convinced she's an innocent sweetie in all this. I know you cant help who you love and it is blind, but she's been with him 15 years and now has seen what he is like. I know it is edited but you can only edit so much. I have never really liked her on SCD, something about her, and she choreographs in such a way that her partners do minimal dancing and she dances around them. I think they are both they like that and an evening with them would be awful. You would keep being accused of being rude and have to watch what you said and did in front of 'my wife'.

I get the impression that Ola wouldn't stand for his rubbish, but could be wrong there. I see her as the anchor in that relationship and James knows this. Ola wouldn't struggle to move on, but he would. It's one positive thing I will say about him, (reluctantly mind). He knows he can't have his own way with Ola but he'll vent at others whenever he can.

I don't think any of them would be easy to live with however I would rather live with him than some of the others, Dee doesn't seem too hard to live with either.

James always talks about his family with love and respect. Of course they love him too and Ola said in her letter that he is the kindest man she ever knew. I know she was canvassing but she didn't have to use the word 'kind' - it's not really something we've seen from him but that's the word she chose.
Also, all his previous dance partners from Strictly speak well of his character - even Vanessa who I know doesn't mince her words. I think James is really playing up the outspoken part of his personality - and it's not difficult as there are, and have been HMs in there who would try anyone's patience. He is without a job at the moment and I think he is trying to develope a 'love to hate' persona - he is eloquent, pretty unflappable, intelligent and opinionated and I think he is doing his best to show this off with a view to future work. He is always 'on' - he never relaxes, he's always loud and he's pretty much always camera-aware and performing. I'm sure he relaxes at home and is fine to be around. |

I think he'd be great to live with, rather live with James than Gary
I don't for one moment think the James we are seeing in the house is anything like the James who lives at home with his wife, but I totally understand why people would not choose him as a significant other.

I couldn't live with someone as rude as James, the lack of manners would drive me crackers.

On the basis of nominations by those who actually had to live with them it was Gary and Frenchy who were a nightmare to live with.
