Could this be why Helen won

Just a thought but could it be because of a betting syndicate, they knew Helen had a pass to the final but held off to make sure BB did not take it away, then in the last week start to back her at long odds if I can remember something like 20/1 causing her odds to drop at the last minute say they staked £10.000 to win in the region of £200,000 you can see why it would be worth spending a few hundred pounds on voting also there votes wouldn't show up on online polls but would maker her the winner ,could that also be the reason why Dees odds dropped so much so fast the other day are they doing the same this time just think if you get 30 or 40 people sitting constantly phoning the same number the genuine BB voters don't stand a chance

Could be.

The voting numbers are relatively small now so I guess it makes it easier. Helen won by only 4 or 5 thousand votes. Makes you wonder if there was some 'insider info' on voting.

You could get 50/1 at one stage for Helen ( in the beginning ) Can you imagine a syndicate lobbing on a good few bob with these odds, waiting until the final and voting like mad for the win! I can. Their returns must have been huge

If I thought the outcome was going to be like it was, I would've had no problem putting £50 on her at that price. £2500 for a fifty quid bet! Yes please.

And I bet the syndicates weren't putting 'peanuts' like £50 bets on her.

With the small number of votes required to swing a difference, a syndicate with a fairly unsophisticated phone vote plan could easily have nudged such a win.
Best not mention it until tomorrow, I guess

Yep. I've seen this mentioned a few times and it wouldn't surprise me in the least.

With the amount of trouble they go through to fix football matches, this would be easy by comparison.

It is very easy for a betting syndicate.
there's no big odds involved. there's no random winner.
we're only talking a few thousand voters to compete against.
they pay a bit of money and do a bit of work and make a profit.

Yes... It has been ongoing subject of speculation... Really hope it won't happen again

Yes definitely part of the reason

I can confirm she did NOT win based on any good she did or being liked

She is and continues to be vile and a very angry person

Helen won because she's super-duper.

Helen basically won for the lolz.

People thought it would be funny if she won. There's no drama if an obvious favourite wins.

£10,000 lol please understand that the books cut prices at the drop of a hat..so expecting to get 10k on without arousing suspicion is highly unlikely. And there's simply not enough money in these type of markets for the layers to be taking any chances. With the sort of money it would take for a syndicate to get involved, the odds would've kept tumbling until their chosen selection was favorite, or very close to it, while Ashleigh's odds would have lengthened so the books could balance their P/L. I was checking the markets regularly and none of that happened. No syndicate. But I do believe Helen's win was fixed from the inside so I've little doubts 1 or more of those linked to it took full advantage of the pre-knowledge and made some easy money by backing Helen and/or laying Ashleigh...

Yep, definitely - the guilty pleasure of watching the faux/real/wtf outrage over a Helen win. Not for me, I'd prefer Christopher or Ashleigh to have won. Life's a bitch.

Yes I do agree the bookies would have made it public if they smelt a rat regarding unusual betting.
I also agree that some of the production staff had knowledge.

They will not answer the question why was Helen not evicted having got numerous warnings and why were warnings covered up.
Also Helen needs an audience and basically her entourage would have been privy to all her rants.

Why did they want to keep her in the game.

Basically I feel big brother manipulated the whole series.

On a different note have a listen to Ashleigh's interview on couch potato radio.

She has no axe to grind and it is refreshing to hear her talk positively about her experience in big brother.
Also hear her views on Chris,Pav and the edit.
Facinating stuff.

Helen won because she was the "tart with the heart of gold" that has come good. She reminded them of other similar heroines like Nancy from Oliver Twist and Pat Butcher from Eastenders.

Yes it was good.

I think it's fair to say that pretty much all the housemates were victims of the edit. Even Steven.

BIB : She is now saying that she was bothered in the house with Pav staring at her and that she was glad Chris said something about it. IMO it is her fault that Chris got involved to defend 'Princess Ashleigh' from 'stares'. Chris fans should be fuming.

I must be missing something. What exactly is it that's funny about a bully winning? I'm genuinely at a loss to understand.
