Panasonic DRM XW-380 tuner problem
Hi, Hope someone can help
I have a Panasonic DRM XW-380 with a possible tuner problem: when pressing the channel up/down buttons to move between channels, the screen goes black and there is no sound, but the channel number is still on the led display. the only way to get a picture back is to press guide (which takes a few presses) and scroll to another channel and press OK to view (again this takes a few goes too). anyone experienced this problem and is able to advise? or is it time to get another box? thanks, Ian |

Couple of things to try.
Delete as many channels as you can, no doubt there are plenty of the shopping and adult channels you never watch for example. So prune down the list and see if that helps. I have heard of some devices have odd problems if there are too many channels stored in memory. The other option is to do a Factory Reset on it. This will wipe all settings and tuning data from memory but should not affect anything stored on the hard drive. You will need to go through the same set-up process as when you first turned it on but if the problem is corrupt tuning memory this should fix it. |
