Hudl screen

My lad got a Hudl for Xmas, this morning it has developed a problem with the screen, the tablet fires up, the screen lights up but displays nothing, if we plug it into the TV via the HDMI the tablet appears to be functioning, even the touch screen works but there is nothing displayed on the tablet itself, this is the second one to go like this, they replaced the last one but wont replace this one as we have lost the receipt

Also when on HDMI the tv screen flicks on and off like its getting an intermittent signal from the Hudl

My lad swears he aint dropped it or knocked it and has kept it in its cover

Anybody got any ideas?

Best thing is to take it back to Tesco. My younger brother and sister both got one each for christmas last year and they went the same way within a month or two of each other. screen lights up but stays blank. Tesco replaced them no questions asked.,

Wish I could but the store wont take it back without the receipt, there is also a mark on the back cover ware he dropped it a couple of days after he got it and the back came off, nothing broke but like a thicko I put the back on wrong and had to pry it off to put it back on correctly so they think I have been messing around inside!

It's faulty, you don't need a receipt. A proof of purchase such as card statement would suffice.

OTOH the OP is admitting to other damage to the device not consistent with fair wear and tear. They will do well to get a full new for "old" replacement. And evidence that the child is not old enough to be trusted with such devices?
