I hope not but if they do, it is them who drive BB to stir it up so much and BB has been stirring things up ever since BB5, because people moaned that BB 4 was boring because of a lack of arguments and bitchiness, so these people should be the ones to waste their money as they are the ones driving BB and its decisions.

The most nasty posters on this forum are anti James and pro Gary supporters. I have found some of the comments absolutely over the top from questioning his sexuality, why he doesn't have children and his marriage. A poster even suggested his wife only married him for a passport which is disgusting and factually incorrect as I'm sure you dont need to stay together for 11 years for this. I thing he stirs the pot a bit and plays a game and is himself warts and all and i think that's what you should do in BB not fly under the radar and mind every word. He has stood up for hms and boosted them when they need it and all of the housemates who have left with the exception of Lauren (who cant take a few home truths but should for he own good) and Kellie (who is a train wreck) seem to think he is a good guy. I honestly do no see him as nasty and vile and cant understand where this hate comes from, I can see he might not of be your cup of tea but would like to know what specific things have upset people to these extremes

The Gary fans appear to be quite deluded, taken in by his well worn stock of pseudo-spiritual ramblings that actually mean f..k all in the real world.

I think it is the people who have no real spiritual experiences to draw on who are the most easily fooled.

1. He claims to be 'honest' but lies

2. He claims to be supportive of Gary when all he does is berate him, patronise him and tell him how much he's hated by everyone.

3. He has no boundaries and doesn't care what he says to people - no matter how personally damaging it might be for them. He claims to do this in fun.

4. He has zero self-awareness and admitted (unwittingly) that he'd consider anyone who says stuff that he does to be a w***er

5. He starts conversations with 'I really love X but..........' and then goes on to list a load of their faults which demonstrates that he doesn't actually 'love' them at all

6. He is influential in the house which could have been a force for good - he chose to do the exact opposite with the power he had

7. He goads and baits relentlessly in the hope that others will snap

I could go on.....

Really? Maybe people just vote for who has entertained them the most on a RTV entertainment show? Why shouldn't what you see as the bitchy/argumentative types also be the types that make a 4-week entertainment show entertaining for other people, without judgement? I wouldn't judge you for eg. supporting Gary or Audey. I'd accept they're just the the type of HMs you like and find entertaining. Why can't you just extend the same courtesy to people who don't share your tastes?

I can't comment on the Helen bit as I only tuned into the end of BB and thought she was pretty all-round awful. I don't see anyone remotely like her on CBB.

BIB^ - I wouldn't say that exactly, but I certainly can see where you're coming from.

I would never direct that same level of irrational anger/hate at a HM I don't like. It just seems so lacking in objectivity and perspective when you consider that we're actually watching a RTV competitive gameshow.

I've lost count of the times I've seen people accused of not caring about disabilities/old people etc (even called 'not decent') because they don't share in the Gary hysteria.

It doesn't end there. I've been accused of requiring psychiatric assessment due to my positive opinions of James and negative opinions of Gary. On another occasion someone told me I require medicating lol. Also apparently I advocate bullying of the elderly and I am not a decent person and I should be ashamed of myself.

I agree with you and it has been worse on twitter Ola and James,s sister have received awful abuse it,s shocking and people need to remember its game show, yes support your favorite but abusing their family is disgusting.

Exactly .......................I agree that the more 'over zealous' supporters of the pious goody two shoe types can be surprisingly OTT in attacking housemates who stand in opposition to their faves and even those that support them. I really get grrrrrrrrrr over this 'if you support so and so you must be like them' etc.etc.'

All this coupled with 'you can't be a real x,y,z fan' I feel has made it particularly silly and infantile forum this year.

I once made the mistake of saying James might have a point about Gary sometimes on Twitter and got a ton of abuse from people who had to take a break from composing hate posts about Dee and James to accuse me of lacking compassion and being hateful

I agree with you it's been very heavy on here this summer I don't mind James I don't thiink. he has not deserved all the nasty comments
