Is there a catch to taking out this deal with O2?
I was thinking of getting an iPhone 6 plus, and was put off by the price rage, £700 for 64GB! Anyway, I was looking at contracts with O2, and noticed that you could get a 24 month 4G contract + everything else unlimited and pay about the same price as if you've just bought the phone sim-free and nothing else.
If you're paying the same price as the sim-free phone and there are no extras, how do O2 make any money from this? |

I think you'll find that might be on their Refresh contract. You pay a small monthly airtime contract and you then pay for the phone on a credit agreement over 24 months. If you want to upgrade within that 24 months you just pay up the balance and then start all over again with the upgrade.

Oh ok, I just looked over the website again and you're right. The representative example they have only covers the cost of the device and the cost of using the phone is separate. I need to read things more carefully next time.

I have the 6, I would sooner just have a bill as opposed to it being seperate |

I'm on my third refresh plan. I've paid off two and took out my third a few weeks ago and got the iPhone 6 plus. If you pay it off before the end of the two years it's cheaper than letting it run it's course.
