I am really looking forward to getting this album!!! Just heard a sample of the tracks, and it sounds really good. Has anyone got the album yet?

I thought it was dreadful. Really disappointing.

I've had it for a while now, it's pretty good but i think the others were a bit better.

Some of my faves are Human After All, Robot Rock & Technologic.

Yeah, I was dissapointed. Especially as Discovery was such a masterpiece.

It's not a patch on the previous two albums. Far too repetitive, seems a massive step back from discovery.

I don't like them enough to buy an album, but I've liked their commercially successful singles so far. Technologic's a weird one alright, but the longer it went on the more I liked it.

Hey, ive been waiting for Human After All since the moment they announced it! I remember at the end of Discovery i wanted to see what Daft Punk had for the future!

Well in a way, im disapointed! Thats not to say that i dont like the album, which i do, its just the fact that when Discovery came out it was different. The songs like One More Time/Digital Love/ Harder,Better,Faster,Stronger were both very DANCE tunes, yet had the cool-calmness to listen to quietly on your bed on a rainy day!

Human After All has a FEW good tracks.

1.) "Human After All" is the album opener. It is a dark, technotronic tune! The song starts as just the tune and has the song builds the noises, different tunes, and subtle words begin to merge with the end of the song being "HUMAN AFTER ALL" in a heavily vocoded voice! While its not a hummm-while-your-bored tune its still good.

2.) "The Prime Time Of Your Life" is a hell of a let down after the tune you have just bobbed your head too! Its slow and jerky. You couldnt put it in your stereo and dance to it - which is a stark contrast to most of Discovery and Homework. This song very much symbolises the album in the way that its a very "dark" and "dirty" dance.

3.) "Robot Rock" ..possibly the best song on the album. This song does exactly what it says on the tin. Its Robotic Rock. A tune that is heavily dancey, with a massive rock beat in it. Robot Rock and Aerodynamic could be related in a way, they both fuse different genres of music. You will see why its the first single off the album*BEST LISTENED TO LOUD*

4.) "Steam Machine". Strange. < That sums it up really. It isnt a dancey tune, but in a way it is. Its very unconventional. Throught the song you here noises reminiscent of a steam train, hence the title, with breathy repetition of "steeeeeeeeeeeeammm macheeeeeeen" throught the "song". Its a poor follow up to Robot Rock.

5.) "Make Love" is a nice "come-down" song. After the huge head banging, floor stomping, uber-tunes "Make Love" is a nice contrast. Its a calm repeating tune, that you can sit and enjoy. It has no words, but i think its nice that way. "Make Love" basically soothes your skull before the next song. . . .

6.) "The Brainwasher" starts with "I AM . . . THE BRAINWASHER" in a VERY loud VERY vocoded voice! It then continues into a repeating tune that gradually gets more and more intense! On first listen this will blow your head off! I like this one!

7.) "On/Off" is one of those weird "breaks" that Daft Punk do in their albums. It is simply a load of noises as tho your scanning thru your tv channels. It lasts about 10 seconds. Personally i think this shouldnt be included as a track as it certainly doesnt qualify as one.

8.) "Television Rules The Nation" is a dark, heavily repeating tune. To be honest i find it a pile of sh*te. The song starts of promising but then after a minute it simply becomes a repetition of "television.....a-rules the naaatiooonnn". The voices are heavily vocoded (again) and simply dont inspire you. After i listened to that song i was like "and that was....?"

9.) "Technologic" now this i like!! This song reminds me of Harder/Better/Faster/Stronger from Discovery. It is a "female" robot simply talking her way thru every day tasks relating to technology with a beat. "Push it, click it, fax, rename it". Its quite funny and try as you might but you will never be able to learn all the words !

10.) "Emotion" or the lack of. Either this song was trying to be ironic, in which case.....why bother? Or it simply is a crap song. The song, like the album, is just repetion of the word "Emotion". Its a rather disapointing end to a rather dispointing album.

In comparison to Discovery then Daft Punk have failed to create a "masterpeice" album. The album is VERY repetative, to the point you skip songs after 2/3mins simply because it begins to drive you mad.

I suppose if you take Human After All and you expect nothing, then you will like it. But if you listen to it expecting it to top Discovery then your in for a HUGE disapointment.

In a way, i hope this album fails to set the charts alight, so maybe it will send a distinct message to the Punks that they can do better!

Daft Punk fans will like this, non Punkertiers wont. Most people will find it strange and boring.

Id give this album 5/10. "Robot Rock" is the only thing that saves this album. Try harder next time Daft Punk.

It's bad enough having two identical threads on the same page. Don't encourage by posting your review in both.
