Have it overlap from Bianca's scene into Alfie's scene where he's looking in the mirror. I think that would have set the scene for next week, and would have been very touching.

Yeah, I wish if they are going to do those taxi rides out of the square mid episode or before the final scene that they just shoot the car driving off the square to Bridge Street then cut, without the taxi interior scenes.

Bit of a kick in the teeth not getting the duff duff , in fact it was all very low key if this is an actual exit rather than another 6 months off

Interesting that when it was announced that the kids were going too it was how selfish Patsy was and now she deserved Julia's theme.

Tbh, I was hoping for a Julia's theme a little but, however Bianca has left EastEnders a few times now, some permanent and some temporary. I don't think Bianca has been a brilliant character, since Ricky's departure, and she isn't really much like what she used to be, she is still a very good character, and I will miss her, but not as much as I would miss other females. When she was sent back to prison in 2012, I missed Bianca a lot and I couldn't wait for her to return, but it was just so bland and dull. Bianca will probably be on the show again in a few years time, as will Janine. Also, the terrible Terry and his mob left aswell, and they really wasn't deserving of a Julia's theme! I will miss Bianca, but not massively.

Julia's theme is not some award or recognition, deserved only by certain characters. It is simply to be used when the doof doofs don't suit (a.k.a, the ending is neither dramatic or foreboding). FatBoy could have it playing over his final scenes if the mood is right!

If the final scene was Bianca driving off then I'm sure it would have been used, but since it was Alfie, looking very sinister, it would not have suited at all.

I do think they should re-vamp that theme now though, it was very common for music to be scored like that in the 80's/ 90's... very melody heavy and fast, but now I think it sounds a bit dated in how 'busy' it is. I wouldn't mind them completely re-recording it, keeping elements of the original, but modernising it... and no that doesn't always have to be a bad thing

I laughed.

She's had so many "exits" they finally said, let's shuffle her off quick and forget.

In terms of the story though, I think it was a great decision to juxtapose Bianca's happy start to a new life with Alfie's rock bottom rather than giving her the end of the episode for the sake of it.

Julia's theme isn't always appropriate for the scene

Will Bianca not pop back when her friend Kat gets injured in a fire, or will that friendship be conveneintly forgotten about?

This! They should have sent her miles away so her failure to show would be more believable, especially when Kat discovers it's Alfie that started the fire.

Also Terry. With Kat in a bad way, it doesn't seem right that he wouldn't show up to support Alfie.

I agree, they should have kept Bianca and Terry for a little longer or change their exit plans so they're not nearby.

I doubt it
In typical soap form, it will be mentioned by someone like Carol or Sonia that "Bianca sends her love but she's busy with so-so"

They didn't do a Julia's theme as it's not the end of biancas storyline, I give her a year tops and she'll be back

Bianca had the big emotional exit when she got on the train and left Ricky. She's had so many temporary exit plots given her frequent breaks, I think it was wise to give her a more low-key exit.

I think Bianca will be back at some point anyway. But for now I think it's wise she take a break. Post-Ricky she's jumped from one money-related storyline to another. Maybe in another 10 years she'll be back with a bit more wonga in her pockets (and to save McKlunkys from going out of business!)
