anne is the only actress that can make me smile when she talks about bake beans. i love all the mundane stuff on corrie.

She is excellent, classic Corrie, gutsy, funny and believable. Love her.

Anne Kirkbride is in a league of her own. She was one of the few highlights of last night's offerings.

Love Deirdre so much! She's hilarious and can save an episode singlehandedly.

best character by a mile atm!

Prefer Deirdre of old, she was never really a comedy character and it feels a bit odd seeing the character played that way now. It worked with Blanche but she was a lot different to Deirdre. Around 15-20 years ago I thought she was more interesting to watch than most of the other female stalwarts on the show at the time, but not comedic. Her flapping around over the dog when she was stolen last week was a bit cringe-worthy and completely unlike Deirdre of old.
