David Corrie

He tweeted about the awful dog fire which killed 50 dogs and said this

"I have a million hot dog jokes" and then tweeted "You guys need to lighten up" but has now deleted the tweets.

He's apologised or been forced to and said he didn't realise the scale of it, the problem being he tweeted it at 1am this morning and by 10pm last night it was saying 30-40 dogs had been killed. So I don't understand how he couldn't realise the scale of it at 1am?

you know what its a terrible situation. having a dog myself I empathise and am heading to pets at home tomorrow to make a donation.

but sack him for a joke? no way. yes its shown him in a bad light and i am sure he is very sorry but he hasnt done anything criminal. yes its in poor taste but calling for his head is a bit much.

I went down last night to give them some blankets and dog food as we got our two dogs there not long ago and it was awful.

I don't think he should be sacked but he can shove his apology up his arse. How anyone could even think about joking about that fire is beyond my understanding. He's only said sorry because of the uproar - I'd have more respect for him if he stuck with the 'lighten up' comment. Little w@nker.

Ryan Thomas claims it was his dry sense of humour but has the biggest heart.

I don't understand why somebody in the public eye who knows the kind of backlash things like this could cause for their careers would post something as brain dead and as moronic as that. I mean honestly I can't understand why anybody would joke about something so tragic full stop but it's just such a moronic and insensitive thing to do. I hope he receives some form of punishment for it

I don't see why everyone's calling for him to be sacked over an insensitive joke.

Surely he should've been sacked long ago for not fulfilling the job description of being a competent actor.

Maybe he was drunk, I know I've sent texts I regret when I've been under the influence.

It was a dumb joke, but I think it would be ridiculous to sack him over it. It's not like he committed a crime.

I think he was up feeding his baby and didn't think anyone would see It. The problem is a hell of a lot money had been raised by then so he surely would have known people would be offended by the tweet.

so if he was feeding the baby it was proberly unlikely he had seen the news and how much raised.
