Am I the only one who thinks Phil and Sharon will actually get married? EE

Phil said to Shirley in today's episode that "Sharon will never be Mrs Mitchell". The new trailer reveals that all of Phil's family members are warning him not to marry Sharon and Ben said "Phil will always love Shirley". Do you think there will be a twist and Phil chooses Sharon and marries her? But obviously their marriage won't last long when Sharon finds out about Phil and Shirley later on.

Thoughts?

Phil will change his mind when he finds out why sharon did what she did. Although sharon will probably then change hers when she finds out what he did and round and round we go. Just enjoy the ride.

I hope she doesn't marry him, they're horrible together! However I am sure in the everybody hurts trailer that she has a wedding ring on.

Phil ruins Sharon and to be honest Phil belongs with Shirley.

A side of me would love for Sharon and Shirley to team up against him!

What will probably happen is after Phil and Sharon's heart to the heart the day before, he will choose Sharon and decide to marry her, Sharon will then find out that Phil had an affair and dump him. Which for me, is awfully predictable and dull but the most likely outcome. I don't see this as much of a twist, most viewers outside of DS want a Phil/Shirley pairing.

Shirley and Sharon to teaming up against Phil would have been clever, but I don't think that is on the cards now! Anyway would Shirley be able to risk Phil telling Mick? Shirley and Sharon would make a formidable duo imo, I would much rather see them as friends than pitted against each other. Linda and Letitia work well together on screen.

I think it's possible, them getting married will be less unpredictable and will cause a lot of drama and trouble.

Sharon has been engaged and made it to the alter but never married a ridiculous amount of times, same for Phil.

It doesn't mean they will stay together, to much has happened for that.

I presume you're right AL or maybe Shirley in a last minute wife swap. There are several heavy hints that Shirley is Phil's best option as opposed to Sharon being a clumsy bauble. I would have preferred a different dimension to Sharon but I don't see it happening.

I think because Ben is telling Phil he knows he loves Shirley, Ronnie comes back to stop the wedding (I'm unsure why?) and Aunt Sal telling Phil he shouldn't marry Sharon is translated to 'Phil will marry Sharon'. He will probably choose Sharon, marry her and then Sharon will find out about the affair. Though I am unsure why Shirley was needed in this story because the outcome for her is just her looking the fool...

It's a boring storyline and needs to end fast.

It was ridiculous pairing Sharon and Phil together in a bid to recreate the magic they had in the 90s. It was never going to replicate that. Sharon should focus on being business-minded rather than always chasing relationships. The character is rubbish these days when in relationships - whether it is with Phil or Jack. Do a Denny Kidnapping storyline where he goes missing and she plays detective. Anything OTHER than relationships and love triangles.

Your right Sharon has been engaged a staggering seven times!! Her two engagements that resulted in marriages to husbands Grant and Dennis and then a further five engagements to Duncan, Tom, John, Jack and Phil.

Phil is also on his seventh engagement as well - his three wives Nadia, Kathy and Kate and then four other engagements to Stella, Suzy, Shirley and now Sharon.

It's about time these two just gave up on getting married.

ain't that true, what wrong with cohabiting as partners!

Marriage don't last 5 mins in EE or mean that much, be nice to have some married couples that last longer then a year.
