Watch it again he said "take care Gary" as Gary was walking away, it then made Gary come back so James could shake his hand and say take care again.
I just watched the clip again. James is announced, Gary and Audley stand up, James goes towards Audley and hugs him as Gary's walking away in another direction. James heads to the stairs and Gary and he shake hands and wish each other good luck.
He says 'take care Gary' as he finishes hugging Audley as Gary appears to be walking away and he obviously wasn't going to grab him back and get all smoochy
Presumably Gary was off walking towards the stairs, where they shook hands and wished each other luck. Nothing nasty about it all at all.

James went to Audley and they hugged. Gary walked off towards the stairs I believe. James walked towards the stairs calling out 'take care Gary' and tipped his hat. He caught up with Gary at the stairs and they shook hands and James said again 'take care Gary'.
