Gary was no fake

I think Gary proved tonight by his behaviour after he was announced as the winner that he was absolutely natural, not a game player or acting in any way.
Was a fascinating character he is.

Is he really barely there and weird? Sure.

I really don't know how the Housemates who thought he was faking came to that conclusion. It makes no sense. He can lapse into moments of coherence, but barely.

Agree: Saw no difference in him from how he was in the house to when he got out. Got tetchy when he couldn't hear or understand what was going on, made his 'enlightenment' speeches, had a chat with himself, had a laugh, showed humility and kindness to his HMs and Honked like a Goose one last time!

He was genuinely overwhelmed on leaving, great reaction on the stairs, refreshing from the usual "BB know it alls" who know exactly the deal.

I loved how he could hardly comprehend that they wanted him to leave (and was shocked he remember HOW to get out).

Having Marcus' Robo-Voice simply bark out that he had to leave was probably not the best way to do it, but luckily a few of his remaining brain cells kicked in and got him out.

Imo Gary should never have been in CBB, he obviously wasn't really capable of looking after himself, all I ever felt for Gary was pity...and No I didn't think he deserved to win.

Completely true on that first part. I've been saying it since the first. Gary being there was exploitation, even if Gary himself and his people agreed to it.

That said, I think he NEEDED to win just to illustrate once more what a crock this show is. Public voting for a winner is dicey at the best of times, but this show (and the way it's conducted) show that at it's worst. Gary winning is so ridiculous it's HILARIOUS in retrospect. I mean think about it. If James had won, a cruel self-important jerk would have been people's champion. If Dee had won, a bloated angry fake. Even if Audley had won, it pretty much would have been someone winning because they pandered successfully to the public. Gary didn't consciously pander at all. He won without pandering, because at this point the GBP knows this show and the voting is a joke.

Agreed.

He was obviously getting help and support in there as it's quite clear he couldn't have managed. We weren't really shown much of that.

Very unfair IMO on his housemates - they didn't sign up to be carers.

agree, for a moment it looked as if by having his name read out - he thought he was runner up, he was sweet, and yup, there was no fakery
He may have held back form getting riled at the HMs taking pop after pop at him - but he was genuine in there

I've always believed Gary was genuine

Just because he was the same in the interviews that doesn't mean anything. He's an actor and he knows the reality TV game inside out. He slipped up a few times in there and showed his ego but some people were wearing blinkers, either because of his brain trauma or because he's been in a few famous movies.

Agreeing that he was an Hollywood legend, getting upset that he wasn't named more famous than others, and going on about dying twice to try an seem superior to others, like that means you should get special treatment no matter what you do. And his speech about learning about himself and the rest was just the same speech he gave on Celebrity Rehab.

He got away with it because he was in there with a few people whose behaviour was worse. But basically behind all the spiritual stuff and talking in riddles he's just another spoiled Hollywood ego.

Get over yourself. Don't be condescending. Of course Gary's capable of looking after himself . May need occasional assistance if not done condescendingly . Anyone one would think those losers in there' had to give him round the clock care. Jeeeesuz! Remember Mikey (I think his name was apologies if incorrect , was blind and needed SOME assistance OCCASIONALY? Didn't mean he should not have been in the house. Tut !

It is a game show he played the Game and won it is just a shame that so many of the public deny he was playing a game.
