Anchovy-stuffed olives

If you don't like olives and/or anchovies, this thread need not concern you

I love olives stuffed with anchovy.

But I am here to say that I bought two (unfortunately) jars of Sainsbury's Spanish anchovy stuffed olives and they tasted absolutely foul. I'd bought them a while ago, but they were still well within the date.

I was going to add a link, but can't find them on the Sainsburys website, so maybe they have been withdrawn. I was going to let them know how horrible they taste, but perhaps other customers already have! If they do reappear, you have been warned!

On the other hand I got some tinned anchovy-stuffed olives from Lidl during a recent Spanish-themed week, and those were so delicious I went back and bought another half dozen tins.

How big are the tins?
Once opened, how long does a tin last compared to the jarred equivalent?
What liquid are they in?

The Lidl ones? 410g, drained weight 170g. They were in brine, same as the Sainsbury ones.

The tin lasted about 10 minutes once opened mind you, there were four of us. (Well, three really - one doesn't like anchovy so didn't indulge.)

When they were gone, I opened the Sainsbury jar. Ended up throwing them out as nobody wanted to eat them. There was no comparison on taste, these tasted sour and had no savour whatsoever.

This was a few weeks back. Last night I opened the other Sainsbury jar, to see if they were any better. They aren't. They're already in the bin.
