Freesat and tv remote control issues

Please someone help!?

Yesterday I bought a freesat box.. The remote it came with did lots of random things to the tv.. The up button turning the tv off etc!

Took that box back today and replaced it with another. Got home and despite the box being a different make... Same type of things happening.

Can anyone help me?

I have a Cello tv.. C3298dvb-ip

I have the Bush Freesat HD box FSATHD

Can anyone explain how to resolve this or do I have to return this box too?

Thanks.

The best solution is get a decent make. If you buy a Humax box the remote control can be set to multiple channels (1-6) so unlikely to clash with anything.

Is £69.00 too much. connect a usb drive and it can also record.

Although the second box you got was a different brand it's probably the same box with the same remote codes just a different badge on the front.
Unfortunately there's not much choice with budget Freesat boxes (and chances are they are all made in the same Turkish factory) so the suggestion of the Humax box is probably the best solution
