Is it possible to download box sets etc. from Sky to an external destination as my storage capacity of my Sky planner is quickly filling up. If there is, can someone please advise me of the type of equipment and where it should connected eg. the Sky Box or to the TV? I am not technical but was thinking that a external hard drive might work.

I have always had really good advice from other forum members so I am optimistic.

The programme has to be played back in real time and then can be recorded onto a DVD recorder or a PC with a capture card in it.


Saying that, there is a way but it requires removing the HDD from the Sky box.!! It's a bit of a faff as the prog on the box is encoded and then unencoded (?) on playback.

If it's on Sky then the show is probably old enough to be in the cheap rack in the supermarket.
