Trust me this aint no wind up thread and I have NO problems whatsoever, other than hating my current iPhone 5s and wanting to get the iPhone 6 Plus ASAP!

I have looked at many payday loan websites, credit card sites just to get the £700 today for it but am not willing to pay nearly double back, hence why the 12 December to add a second line to my contract cant come quick enough.

Buying the 5S is no bad idea, especially if you prefer its size. 5C is largely 2-year-old hardware, so if be less sure that purchase makes sense, unless you get a great price.”

But sometimes you have to wait 2 years for it to become more affordable.

And that 8GB was top spec 2 years ago. And for many 8GB will be a big upgrade. It's not pathetic just not quite as big a capacity as the new ones now.

Be honest you had to fork out top dollar (practically the same cost as the iphone 6 on sale now) to buy an 8GB memory phone when it was the biggest amount of memory ever seen on a phone back then 2 years ago.

Some people just can't do without the highest spec of technology just came onto the market even if it means it costs them an absolute fortune to keep upgrading via pre-ordering of everything.

If that brand new spec technology is wonderful (and is) now, it will just be as wonderful for us 2 years down the line when it does become affordable.

I had an 8GB 5C, I held on to it for a week and sold it, 8GB storage is next to useless, you've 5gb available after iOS, by the time you've installed minimum amount of apps 3GB left, bear in mind some games can be 2gb alone, I never even tried adding music.

Please think really carefully before spending money you don't have. Phones are great, but they're far from the most important things in life.

What? The iPhone 4S, on release in 2011, came in 16/32/64GB configurations. An 8GB option was only introduced in 2012 when the 4S became the budget option on the 5's release. 8GB was most certainly not the biggest amount seen on a phone 2 years ago; not even close.

While limited I have a friend who wants her first iPhone who will find 5Gb just fine for her!

I only have the iPhone 5s 16GB version which on eBay are going for £200-250 so even if I sold it for that and started saving until I got to £700 it'd take me until 13 Feb 2015, 9 weeks later than 12 Dec 2014.

I know this might sound sad but already I'm starting to feel so cheap knowing that I can't get the iPhone 6+ on Friday let alone having people look down on me for owning an "outdated" iPhone when i'm out at Boxing events or on trains, planes etc. This three month wait until December is going to be a nightmare tbh.”

Trolltastic post!!!

If they care so much what phone you use perhaps ask them to subsidise you and reduce the time they must spend looking down at you instead of having a life.

I can't afford to just buy the iPhone 6 Plus outright just now and I certainly am not waiting until I save the £700 for the 64GB version so two contracts is the only way forward, I need the iPhone 6+ ASAP tbh!!”

You have no correct priorities at all. You're a very sad person.

The 5C will continue to sell well on contracts.

Yawn, once again a "Wrong Priorities" and "Sad" reply!

How am I in the slightest sad or have the wrong priorities for wanting the best things in life and doing whatever I can (within reason) to get it? Surely EVERYONE with an iPhone 5s or eariler will be desperate to get rid of their phones ASAP to upgrade to the iPhone 6/6 Plus now they know how slick and classy they are! Not many people around the age of 21-29 will have anything less than the iPhone 6 come end of October.

The 6 isn't that much different to the 5s. If you hate it so much why are you desperate to get the 6?

I still love my 4s

At £319 it might also sell OK for PAYG.
