Saw this episode. Probably my favorite of the 5. It's lighter, fluffier Filler Who done pretty much as well as it gets.

Though if you're familiar with Heist film/tv shows you could probably see where everything is going.

I've put it in spoilers just incase but I dont think I've said anything any spoiler-free review wouldn't. No specific plot details.”

No specific details please, but in your opinion was The Teller an interesting monster?

Watch episode 4: "Listen". Definitely not immature or silly. You may also enjoy the first two epsidoes of this season (although best to skip episode 3, it was very, very silly). Glad to see you're thinking of giving Who a chance. It is growing up dramatically.

Here's the latest teaser for the Doctor Who Logo.

Urhm, I mean.. Time Heist.

Karabraxos looks awfully like Cardiff, to me! That's actually the tiny bit of filming that I missed out on.

Warped Factor Spoiler-Free Review

Quote:
“In Time Heist it's not even a level playing field, there's no mistaking who's in charge - it's the eyebrows - and Clara is now much more the traditional companion - asking questions, taking direction. It's a shift in tone that will no doubt please some, and it will be interesting to see if it carries over into the subsequent stories. So make no mistake it's all about Capaldi here, and as you'd expect he is amazing. There's even a moment of pure (pre-watershed) Malcolm Tucker.”

Yes! great to see that after re balancing the dynamic in listen by asserting Capaldi as the full on doctor in charge, as the doctor should be it's great to hear that it is continuing that way. Hope that's now the established dynamic for the rest of the series. If it is, they may actually finally get people to like Clara as much as other companions.

Den of Geek Review

Quote:
“You can't really say either that Peter Capaldi as the Doctor has taken the lead in an episode of Doctor Who series 8 to date. At least until now. Whilst there's further exploration of Clara's life going on, this is an episode where the Doctor - and sometimes a quite fierce Doctor (some of last week's unthawing is notable by its absence) - is at the front and centre.”

“Overseeing events with a lipstick smirk is Line of Duty‘s Keeley Hawes as the Chief of Security, Ms Delphox. An actress of considerable talent, Hawes deserved something more substantial than Delphox.”

Should use the same reviewer for Spoiler-Free and Final reviews. If Listen is anything to go by, Cultbox could rate Time Heist 5/5 on Saturday.

“On the whole, Time Heist serves its purpose as a good episode for the middle of the season. It’s never going to grace the top of ‘best story’ polls, but it’s sure to win over fans and warrant a repeat, to watch everything unfold once you know what’s been going on behind the scenes of the adventure…”

I may be wrong but I think they gave away a plot twist if the Series 7 episode they refer to is the one I think it is.

Reminds me a bit of Hustle. Looks quite fun and looking forward to some 'Ocean's 12' in space

Not sure about Keeley Hawkes though as Ms Delphox - First impressions she seems a bit campy and a stock one dimensional villain like Miss Foster ( Sarah Lancashire) or Madame Kovarian ( Frances barber). Female villains are rarely written well in Doctor Who although I really don't know why not.
