Grant will more than likely return anyway, the Mitchell's are still a pretty big family, he also has ben and jay, he isn't going anywhere

It was just an old article I found. I just wanted to hear other people's views on it.

I think he knows he unlikely get work anywhere else other then Panto, I'm sure his earn a good crust from the show though so possibly could retire in a few years but I think he more then likely take a break from the show like he did in 2003 then leave permanently.

Omnipotent Phil wouldn't let a small detail like Steve McFadden quitting affect his reign of the square.

Yes he would be typecast if he ever left eastenders. Besides he is onto a cushy thing, they will never axe Phil.

Blimey, I forgot about actors retiring!

I also forgot Steve is in his 50s!

I just hope The Mitchells continue to breed so we have the generation continuing into 2050!

The star added: "I'm not in a relationship at the moment, but family life is very important to me. I'm very close to my [four] children."

Wonder if any lucky lady has snapped him up yet?

I never though I'd see Phil and 'interesting' in the same sentence
