Sorry if this a stupid question.

But how do I back up an S5?

My father has switched from an iPhone, and backing that up was easy with iTunes and a computer.

But I haven't got the foggiest how do a back up of a s5.

Is it possible to back up an s5?

Thanks in advance.

Contacts and calendar is backed up to Google.

Photos are backed up to Google and also new Samsung phones come with 50gb free Dropbox space so they can automatically be backed up to there.

Also apps are automatically downloaded and reinstalled if you get a new phone.

Also to add that if you want to backup absolutely everything on the phone from text messages to every since setting (wallpaper/ringtone selected and I think even alarm times) there are some backup apps on the Play Store which you can backup to SD card or even their cloud. I use one called MyBackupPro which I like.

There's also Samsung's official management and PC backup program Kies. It's messy but when it works it's good.

I have never (yet!) ever had any issues with Kies, always seems to do exactly what it says on the tin
