Have you tried the Chrome browser? That works fine for me with BT sport

You need to subscribe to BT Sport online on the website. As a BT broadband subscriber it costs you nothing extra.

If you have Sky you know you can get BT sport on there, You just get BT to authourise your card, you can do it on their website.
As for the picture quality you have to pay extra for the HD broadcasts, £3 a month, it is only SD that is now free.

Have you done this?
https://www.productsandservices.bt.c...TS_TP=S0315062

or have you got a Sky viewing card - not necessarily a subscription- see here

I tried everything to get BT Sport online in Windows 8, including all the BT FAQ ideas, uninstalling and reinstalling all my browsers, uninstalling and reinstalling Silverlight, basically I tried the lot. Nothing worked so in the end I gave up and had to reboot into an old installation of Windows XP, or a separate new install of Windows 8, both of which were fine (but I didn't want the hassle of reinstalling all my programs into the new W8). Sky Sports online has always been fine, no issues with that at all.

Then a few months ago, I upgraded my PC and had to reinstall Windows 8. BT Sport worked a treat, first time and every time. So ultimately, it's possible that there is no other way to fix it - good luck anyway!

.
As long as you're still getting the free-to view channels (Sony Movies/LFC and a few others) then the card is still active and being updated so you stand a good chance.
Follow the instructions on the BT link and enter the card number - good luck.

This won't work. My situation exactly. I have rung BT and they have activated, the problem is Sky not recognising the card as valid, so any updates BT make don't work. Sky won't budge unless you subscribe.

I watched it on my PC too and yes it was good, quick and easy to log on, no glitches and the lag over 'live' BT Sport on the Sky Box was only 15 seconds or so.

The bandwidth is 1.3Mbps when in an average size window (so SD) and shoots up automatically to 3.75Mbps and HD-lite (probably 720p) when fullscreen. Only takes 5 seconds to buffer and adapt to HD on a fast fibre connection. And I get it in HD when I haven't paid for HD on the Sky box!
