EE: If Alfie left, would they dare get rid of Kat?
The fact they've given them twins now, seems to suggest TPTB love Kalfie and want them together.
But I was thinking that if Shane Richie left as Alfie, which is now possible with the fire storyline, would they actually make Kat (Jessie Wallace) leave with him? Jessie is a huge talent! One of the strongest actresses on the show by a mile. But something tells me they'd want a happy Kalfie ending and so send them both away together. [unless Alfie goes to prison] Just thought this because the producers seem to think Kat and Alfie are only good when together. That could not be more further away from the truth. KAT is awesome!

Not now they have 3 children together. I wouldn't enjoy Kat as a single mother to 3 toddlers flogging tat on the market and looking for love. Bianca didn't fare too well in the role despite her kids being older.
If Alfie goes Kat should go with him. I never want to see the Slater sisters again, especially bloody Little Mo. |

Kat is awesome I agree, but I don't see what they can do with her on her own any more. Kirkwood tried to rehash parts of her original story and that was where the show went wrong. I don't think anyone wants to watch her crying that no one wants a disfigured, dirty girl single mother.
Bianca went around in circles without Ricky and I think the same would be true for Kat without Alfie. EE definitely doesn't need any more kids in broken homes also. Especially not Tommy who has already lost one father if you can call Michael that. Their return up until this year had been so full of misery that I think they need a happy ending. |

If Alfie left, Kat would have to go with him. I couldn't see Kat on screen as a single mum.
If they did both leave, it would probably be a loss because they're the iconic couple, but if they stay, PLEASE NO MORE HEARTBREAK, THEY'VE HAD TOO MUCH. |

If Alfie left Kat would as some people have already said be a single mum with three young children, Alfie understands Kat in a way no other man ever did or will again, he's her best mate, REAL best mate, who else is there who knows her better than she knows herself, knows her past warts and all yet still loves her, who else would take her back time after time for cheating on him with men who have more masculinity in their little finger than he has in his whole body?
Nobody! Alfie is Kat's man in the moon and always will be imo, she does work without him to an extent but always makes her way back round to him eventually! |
