These episodes get better and better by the day! At the start of week 2, they have managed to get the twist spot on compared to BBUK's whole series

I dunno if I like how the housemates pick who goes, it means the likes of Ryan, Travis, Katie and even Lisa have the best chance of staying from their pairs when they other half of each pair is probably more popular to the public.

David and Gemma will likely be in trouble this week if their pairs are nominated. They're on the outs with the housemates.

It's like they make it up as they go along, and we had to wait all through the episode for this twist as well. They told Katie and Priya that a pair would be evicted when taking the money for immunity and now suddenly they change it. The public won't like the eviction being decided by the HMs either.

It looks like they'll try and make the pair thing run as long as possible rather than a few weeks. Also we aren't told what will happen with the solo housemate, I wonder will new housemates go in on a weekly basis to make the pair or will the housemate just ride solo till a the next eviction and make a new pair.

Compared to what? Most BB's seem to make it up as they go along They have aced this twist 100%.

From a TV point of view, it makes sense to leave the actual live segment until the end to maintain viewers so I hold nothing against them for that. I'd rather see the highlights from the past day before the up to date content anyway since that's the logical step.

They told the housemates that a couple would be evicted, because they want them to think that. It's only the public that know only 1 is evicted. It's called a twist for a reason :P

You're just picking every little detail that doesn't make you happy

If you're taking money from someone I think it should be made clear how the eviction coming up works. It really was dragged out in the HLs, definitely better for people who download later than go through all the adverts they put in.

I know things are always manipulated, but the audience don't like being manipulated, so they need to be transparent about what they do in advance to the audience rather than just change things according to who is up.

HMs choosing someone to stay is likely to get rid of people the audience might want to stay to spice things up, and that obviously could hinder entertainment value. That is definitely not a small thing at all. The audience vote to save had been a big help to this Big Brother and they really shouldn't mess with that.

We have been told in advance? The nominations haven't even taken place yet and we have already been told the plan for the upcoming eviction. Have the voting lines opened already and people spending money that I don't know about? :S

I'm talking about the future with that. Anyway my main point is the public need to do the saving. The HMs did evictions in 2008 I think and HMs evict anyone who doesn't tow the line in the house making it more boring.

Yes which is why some couples who may not get a lot of public support could be screwed as the one half the public actually do like is probably more likely to go.

If they announced that they were doing every eviction like this, I would be annoyed. But it's good to switch it up for the first eviction with a twist like this before settling into the routine

Anyone left feeling like there was more to the whole money decision storyline, that it felt incomplete? I was fascinated by how the group was effected by the decision and the Big Brother Diner variable and there was that one episode that mainly focused on it, and then... it kind of went unresolved where the new power couple was announced and things moved on.

Within the editing, there's a slow pace overall but even with a slow pace, i feel like certain things are moving too fast.... it's mentioned suddenly that Skye and the guy with glasses find each other cute, and they're already kissing.. There seemed to be more to the girls overhearing the boys discussing their looks, there's more to the Gemma thing as it had to show a flashback to give context to Travis/Gemma, the party was way too fragmented, Travis and the one girl i don't know how to spell her name yet was all over each other, the strategy room felt pointless, etc.

The editing is slightly off for me so far, there's a slow pace overall... but it's fast within certain aspects, and it's not saying very much in commentary or connection to the viewer imo.

Don't get me wrong, i'm enjoying the series.. there's just a slight disconnect that i'm feeling.

So far, i'm not feeling many of these male HGs though. I agree with people's opinion that i've read about Travis especially. The way these guys talk about Females, one's they live with no less... is gross. Travis speaking as if a Female needs to be this or that to meet his standard of quality, the ego on Travis is annoying.... who is he.

Watching the current episode now and at the part where Lisa confronts David...

Wow, i think she was totally out of order on that... she's basically condemning him on part of something she heard through a door before she even allows him to explain himself... i found that to be way more dismissive and rude then David was on the issue at hand.

If she actually listened to the entirety of what was said, he said he preferred her mid to upper body and stated not her breasts when she said it was her breasts, her arms/shoulders and upper build... and then when talking to the guys he said he didn't want to say it at the time but preferred Cat's breasts with Lisa's upper body type.

The part i do agree with Lisa about is there wasn't a need for them put her body down in saying the breasts weren't all that and sagged, in front of all the guy's like that.

Also, there were more people in the conversation than just David.. someone, i don't know who... agreed with him there, and no one really stuck up for her as well.

I don't really agree how Lisa's handled or approached this, David was mature in his response but she wasn't even giving him a chance and saying she wouldn't associate with the kind of person he is... and that being said i don't even particularly care for the way some of the guys have talked about the Females in meeting a certain standard that they have, and so i'm not initially inclined to disagree with Lisa here.

Also, didn't like how Skye is saying that the one guy is a bad kisser based on that one situation.

I'm undecided about the new information about competing for 30k, i like the ability to switch a couple.

Another great episode, only 20min in... still a lot to watch but had to get that off my mind.

Cannot wait for today's episode, is it nominations today? I remember last year nominations were on a Tuesday, until they moved eviction nights to a Wednesday and nominations were then on a Thursday.

Is Skye the new contrived character after Laylah and Ben, i want to believe in her but i can't help but feel like things are contrived with her, especially with the singing coming into play.

I hope David and Gemma don't go first, even though they're disliked in the house i'd like to see more from them.

Not sure i see the logic in the swap, if the goal is to make them a weaker couple i don't know if it does... Cat/Sam both look to me as formidable with their new partners still.

Two new HGs? Awesome.

Only 1 HG out of the pair will go home in eviction? That's interesting and i think it's an improvement over both going, depending. I hope it's not like where one couple is voted on for eviction between them but hope instead it's a few couples.

Sky is 100% the contrived character this series. Acting overly stupid and emotional and I tihnk she puts her voice on half the time

Totally agree, especially after the recent episode and turning that whole thing into an over dramatic spectacle in making it about her, and the trying to force this showmance... it's tiring now.

Regarding the saggy comment it was actually Travis not David yet I don't see Lisa launching into him about that. David brought up the topic but Travis said they were saggy.

Best things about this - David and Gemma winding them all up

Worst things - he loves her she loves him he doesn't love her she doesn't love him etc etc

Indeed,

She stated a few times that she didn't like David before that all happened, it's possible she used that opportunity to go at him more than necessary based on that.

Sandra said early in the episode that David made her uncomfortable as others in the house disliked him.

The quiz had questions which were way too easy for 30000 to be on the line. Not surprisingly it went to a tiebreak (which turned out the quiz highlight), at least that wasn't the mind numbingly boring number approximation that the US one always uses. I hope future competitions in this have more of a budget though.
